I'd reccomend against the Ares H&K G36c. I bought one last September and it has only worked for 3 games.

mike did the gears go out on it because that is one of the only well documented problem with them.

AEG's / Re: Systema PTW Y U SO EXPENSIVE?!
« on: July 19, 2011, 08:44:26 PM »
the price is also due to supply and demand if the sold as many ptws as jg m4s it would likely come out to the 600-800 dollar range. Another thing is why do people always bag on things that are out of their budget. It was the rocket boy sales thread and now this. Myself personally am not going to buy a ptw because of poor material the receivers are made of and the availability of parts compared to a marui based m4.

Airsoft Items WANTED / Re: Reliable Person to paint my WE G39c?

how small do you want the pattern to be because i would suggest hydro transfer if you want the size to be comparable to your gear.

Airsoft Items WANTED / Re: LOW cost AEG's

ill sell you a decent aeg for 50 dollars if i can take a dump in the gearbox and you use it for a game. I'm not kidding either i will really sell you one if i could see you firing it with my excrement two inches from your nose.

Btw i can buy decent aegs around 50 every once and a while it isn't that hard. Craigslist is awesome, if you are patient.

the pins on the mp9s are a pain in the bum the punch out the mp7 is 100 times easier to replace than one the mp9.

kwa and tm for the better brands, echo is hit and miss and an alternative to the spring change is a crawler barrel and yes i also have g36 hop ups in my boneyard. Hdrox good choice of calling messing with lipos voodoo magic. sometimes they are your friend, other times you hope they would blow up just so that you can see the fire.

The ares might be able to handle a lipo with a stronger set of gears. I wouldn't recommend the gun when there are better g36s on the market with trades. just my opinion. There is an upside to the ares i had one the other day with such a good air seal that it shot 370 with sp90.

in my day we just spat in the darn things closed em up and shipped them out to Milwaukee. Now kids all yuh need to do is um use the losi shock oil from an rc store is dirt cheap and easier IMHO than the spray, also mass to dollar ratio is way better than the spray.

push the pin out the correct way, with a bigger hammer, with all the might that the little engine that could and smack away. I can't remember if they are self retained though so be careful. Another thing you can try is to turn the pin with a pair of pliers to loosten it up, but if they are self retained i would suggest doing this.

They are self retaining, Do NOT turn the pins. You will jam them and break the retaining spring/wire.

Are you just talking about the 2 pins at the rear of the gun? Or are you talking about one of the pins in the middle of the gun that prevent the barrel assembly from coming out?

For the 2 large pins at the rear: Get a punch that will fit inside the smaller end of the pin, and using a hammer, gently tap them out.

Why can't you just let me have my fun with a kid trying to do some ultra custom work. Yeah and i noticed in my post i originally had it saying to turn the pins.Fixed it. Yeah anyways those pins should almost drop out.
