Troubleshooting / Re: Gradual Gearbox Lock up-Version 3.

What battery are you using. i would suggest a 9.6v.

Also did you shim it well?

Could also be something as simple as motor height.

I had the same problem on one of these exact guns and i swapped the motor for a echo high torque and it solved the problem. I did this on a whim because i tried shimming it correctly and it still had the same problem. Then i tried a loose shim similar to how it would have come from the factory and no success either. There are many variables and if this is one of your first gearbox experiences or you haven't done that many i would suggest bringing it to an airsmith. If you bring just the lower reciever into a shop they probably will cut you a break on the labor because you saved them a good chunk of time.

Gas Powered Guns / Re: kwa mac 11 (ns2) worth it?
« on: June 06, 2011, 07:13:04 PM »
here is the problem with kwa gbb smgs they shoot too hot to play at vanguard and i know that you are there almost every weekend. You could learn about the tm mp7 xaviermace could give you some pointers if you are dead set on a small smg. Or buy a p90 and get over it.

if you don't mind it not wanting to shoot semi auto after awhile and reading to be cleaned after every match or else it wont cycle correctly. IT is a good pistol but mags for ns2 kwas get expensive.

Troubleshooting / Re: My Smart Charger is being a real Asshole...

hit it with a hammer and return it back to the store you bought it from. Or if you bought it off line or used, good luck. Once the chargers don't work the only thing you can do is check the solder joints on the output wires.

i don't know if anyone caught this but you notice how their "leader" has an AK and Thompson. it is just my guess that they are both cybergun and they think that if they buy enough springers cybergun will notice their generic name. Pick them up ship them over to france and have them compete in an airsoftfest and they through trial and tribulation completely blow away the competition with their rebranded CYMAs. Bravo my boys, but the jig is up, i want my cake served in cold milk half way up the bowl.

Airsoft Items FOR SALE / Re: do you want something from tusken
« on: May 22, 2011, 09:29:16 PM »
MAKING ANOTHER TRIP. I know my post said weekly or biweekly, and i hadn't bumped in two weeks. I was down there and didn't receive any pm's. I understand my initial price seems high but that was with meet up and delivery on my time and gas and that offer still stands. If you would like to shoot me a quote through pm with details about an item. Such where do i need to pick up the item, where it needs to go, if the person i am picking up from or delivering has a restrictive schedule and i am only able to meet him at a specific time at a place that is 15+ miles away in tuscon and 10+ miles in phx from where i am located.

PHX/metro
Since it is summer i'm not driving to ASU poly But gear box and VIP arena are still on the table. I live where chandler phoenix and tempe converge so if you are in north phoenix and cant drive down a bit, then i would suggest the flat rate option.

Tucson
I'm staying near valencia and houghton. I go down broadway for lunch most of the time,  other than that I'm just working at the house.

Will be ant gearbox tommorrow afternoon and will be leaving Wednesday and will be coming back to phoenix on friday.

AEG's / Re: Suggestions for high fps project
« on: May 17, 2011, 09:32:53 PM »
actualy asgi doesn't open the gb's on their m4s. There is no tooling marks on the screws or sheet metal bar that secures the top. In addition the metal bar is a pain in the ass to take off the first time. Therefore i would doubt that they actually reshim the boxes.

Troubleshooting / Re: G&G GR15 trigger problems
« on: May 13, 2011, 10:15:56 AM »
if it happened on your first g and g then it is not likely going to be Alex's fault it didn't get fixed(eg $h1tty parts). I have also had issues with there mp5 gearboxes, similar issue. You could try another harness and cutoff lever from the same company.  No guarantees that will defiantly fix it, but i know Alex didn't replace any parts in your gearbox. Oh yeah you are going to have to go into the gearbox to fix it. If i was in your position i would use it until it fails completely, because it isn't that big of an issue. SInce if the cutoff lever was damaging the trigger components it would have "likely" failed in that 8 period you were playing with it.

you can use a o-ring around the barrel at the front of the op up instead. If you still want a spring i have one though just send me a pm.

General Airsoft Discussion / Re: no motor adjustment screw?
« on: May 06, 2011, 06:36:16 PM »
it most likely does but it is so far in the grip to see. Trying shooting it if it sounds ok then you are good to go. You can try also to see if it is there by putting either a 1.5 mm or 2mm allen down the hole and see if it is able to be turned.

instead of dressing the stock lever how you normally do. pull the back of it up and then pull the stock ock. This is for a le stock not a magpul or other brands.
