I agree, good times today. Now that it's getting hot, though, we really need to meet and start earlier! Probably more emphasis on the start earlier. I know I'm guilty of showing up when I believe the games are about to actually start and not the posted time, but I'm willing to show up earlier if we can start earlier.

One thing I used to do a while back was do the smaller pick-up games that xXmusicimpactXx mentioned right at the posted start time, then the bigger games when everyone was ready. Maybe that's a way to go?

By noon the sun was killing me so I had to bail. Still feeling wiped out.

We had a good outing this past Sunday. About 30 people attended. No issues with the neighbors, other than some of their kids watching the games from up the hill. Marked the boundaries to make it clear where the field is.

A couple of us have independently verified with BLM that we're good to go as long as it isn't an organized event. We understand that to mean no pay events, but hobbiest activities like what we do are fine.

The field is good. Definitely better than the original Hatfield, as it is today, anyway.

So, keep your eyes open and your ears peeled for the next Hatfield West game. You'll be glad you did.

I'd be happy to represent us at no charge, it's my sport too. With the permit in hand, and my explanation that we all use bio-bb's, so there isn't even any litter, the judge will likely dismiss the ticket. If we get a bad judge, the worst thing that happens is we pay a tiny bit of money into the state's general revenue fund. Think of it as a use tax.

If we want to keep using Hatfield, there is absolutely no reason to give up so easily.

Y'know Peter, might have to rename the new field to avoid confusion with the old one. Since you get Naming Rights, -might I suggest Flick's Field..

That made me smile, thanks! I've scouted out a few fields over the years but never thought of that as a name. Usually name them for something nearby. That's where "Hatfield West" came from. It's, well, west of Hatfield. 

Seriously though, thank you. Let's save the memorial field names for when I'm dust and gone.
