I could be wrong but aren't you suppose to post a price with your item your selling.

He isn't "selling" it perse, he is asking for a trade. Had his topic said "WTS/WTT" that would be different. You lose  :)

Bingo. ;)

What do you guys think about the AGM L96 AWP Rifle (OD)
I think you shouldn't necropost.

However, to stay on topic, airsoft sniping works! I've seen people get much better groupings and much higher fps.
But I don't know how well sniper AEGs work... I know springers CAN work well but I would like to know how well gas snipers work.

Sniping DOES work...one of the dudes who comes out to Rebel Union has a JG BAR10 and man I would NOT want to get hit by that thing, hearing those rounds zip past and THWACK! scares the shit out of me.

The question is how long before gang-bangers and criminals start painting their barrels orange? It may only fool police or decent citizens momentarily, but sometimes a moment is all that's needed.

True, this is always an issue that a possibility as well...but any weapon, mock or otherwise, pointed at an officer makes grounds for getting shot, imo.

ok were talking about grinding gears, you just stripped them and ran them till they were smooth, calm down.  But if you ever are in a small skirmish and your leader is a jerk, mutinies can be fun, and markers (who thought about calling them that) do look like little toy guns. By the way, what is a zerg rush?

A zerg rush refers to the RTS game 'Starcraft' there is a playable race in the game called the zerg where people would build tons and tons of the cheapest units and rush into the enemy's base and wipe them out...kind of refers to people playing speedball as opposed to using tactics; just run and gun.

What grinds my gears is when airsoft feels too much like paintball, when there's no tactics involved...it doesn't have to be milsim (because it's not everyone's playstyle), I just prefer some form of communication and tactical movement during a game.

Almost right out of wiki, from the sounds of it. :D
For me, it just depends on how many people play.
If it's something like 3 v 3 then speedball is fine.
But if it's anything much larger than that tactics are way more fun.

Haha, if that's from the wiki then they wrote it by tapping into my brain because I just winged that explanation, lol.

Accessories & Gear / attaching a silencer..
« on: July 04, 2008, 09:57:06 AM »
I'm sure this has been addressed somewhere before, but just in case I'm interested in purchasing a mock suppressor for my Classic Army SCAR Lite...What do I need to know, if anything, about attaching one? I assume I need to purchase a tightbore, correct? If not would it be possible to simply remove the external barrel and replace it with the silencer?

I know it's the not the practical of addons, but damnit if it don't look sexy.

Thanks in advance.

-kog

EDIT: What I'm seeing a lot of via google search is that a lot of the mock suppressors act as flash hiders...so would it be practical to just buy a shorter external barrel and get a silencer to fit the thread so the internal barrel is as close to the end as possible?

Hope this doesn't count as bumping a necropost...

Regardless of your stance on gun control, ownership, safety, etc if you point a weapon of ANY kind at an officer after his presence is announced you can't honestly not expect to be shot or disarmed. We all know Airsoft weapons are REPLICA which makes identifying a real weapon from an airsoft weapon nigh impossible; especially considering not all of them have the orange tip on them...you know the one that screams "I'M NOT GOING TO KILL YOU," be it removed by the owner or purchased that way.

The officer was most certainly not in the wrong for doing what he did; he was in a position that made him frightened for his life - he took the correct course of action, this asshole is lucky he isn't dead for the stupid shit he pulled.

/end rant

realize i posted in the wrong area. sorry.
Best I can say is keep an eye on this forum for events in your area...there's almost always something going on here (except this weekend, mind you), though chances are it isn't always in your backyard...a lot of our players end up driving an hour or two to reach a game.

Haha, well seeing as I was born there...

I dunno, if I can manage to get my hands on the paint I'll just have to screw with it a little, playing around in Photoshop just isn't the same.
