Troubleshooting / Please help with JG BAR 10 slam fire problem!
« on: September 30, 2008, 09:28:03 AM »
Okay well as the title says my JG BAR 10 is now "slam firing". I will go to pull back the bolt to load it and before it would stop like normal, but when you'd go to push it forward it would slam forward and I couldn't shoot. So obviously I was bummed. I've had the gun a few months, and I've put a few hundred rounds through it in case that's important.
I tried doing research on what could be wrong and came to the conclusion that it was the sears maybe being worn down. However I decided to take it to that Gearbox store and see if they could help. Well two and a half weeks later they said for sure it was the piston thats worn down. Now in no way am I saying these guys are bad, in fact I would recommend them wholeheartedly. They're great and their customer service in my experiences are great. I drive from across phoenix just to go there. That being said, I ordered a brand new high pressure piston and its still doing it. This time when I pull it back it just shoots forward.

So please any ideas what could be wrong? I'd rather not spend money that I don't need to again. Although since I now have a high pressure piston and I might need to get new sears, I might just get a higher spring too 8)  8)

Thanks for your help

Spring Power!! / HELP with JG BAR 10
« on: July 21, 2008, 10:49:33 AM »
So I have had a JG BAR 10 now for around 2 months and I love it. It came with a scope rail that was off, so I have been using it without it and it has been great. But of course I wanted to use the scope. So I took it to a friend who is a gunsmith and he fixed and now I'm sniping with the scope. I love it. However, here's the problem

It isn't shooting straight now that I have the scope on. It's shooting consistently low. Right in the exact same spot it seems. Eventually I would like to purchase a new hop up for it, and more than likely a new tightbore. However here's my question.

I see the hop up lever on the left side of the gun, with arrows pointing to the front and the back. Do I have to take apart the gun to adjust the hop up? Or do I just move the lever? Because when I try to move the steel lever it doesnt seem to move. I know this is a noob question, and I am. I don't want to mess it up so much that it's almost useless.

Thanks for your help!

Troubleshooting / Help with my new JG BAR 10
« on: June 19, 2008, 09:05:26 AM »
Okay so here's my problem

I FINALLY got my gun in the mail, and was completely excited. I assembled everything and was really excited. So I go to put the sniper mount on the top and it wasnt working. I coulf get one screw put in, but no matter what I tried I couldnt get the second one in. So after an hour I realized the holes used for screwing on the rail system weren't the correct distance apart!

Has anyone else had this problem, or am I just a lucky  guy? and I would imagine there's not much I can do, so i should just exchange it.

Troubleshooting / Re: HELP! gun not working

Well it's my brothers gun and he charged it. Although I'm pretty sure a light went on into the charger.

And I'm not to comfortable doing it myself, only because I just started getting into all of this. However the guy at the airsoft store said if I bring it in he could help me find out.

So either it's the battery or the fuse thats messed up I'm pretty sure. But this is the first electric gun I've had so I don't know much about it.

Troubleshooting / HELP! gun not working

Okay so here's what's happening.

I just got a Well R8 G3 SAS in the mail yesterday. Everything was working great. Then the magazine got jammed from crappy bbs so I worked on that. Then my brother set the battery in the charger for the night and left it until morning. Now when he goes to shoot it, it makes no sound whatsoever. No clicking or anything. So I'm guessing he messed up the battery because we didnt shoot it a ton and he charged it for around 10 hours. Or the fuse is messed up.

What do you guys think it could be?

Also I took it to an airsoft store and he agreed it might be a fuse, and that he'd check if I brought it to him. So I'm either gonna do that or return it to the site. Although I'd rather bring it to the guy if it is just one of those two problems.
