And to avoid confusion, my last reply was typed on my son's computer, didn't realize he was logged in under his name.

I appreciate the invite and while we won't be able to make it on the 1st, we most certainly will be out for a game or two.  When we come, we should have 8-12 people with us.  As others have said, thanks for the great job you guys have been doing over the years.  I'm sure your new endeavor will be just as great.  See ya out there.

My buddy got a new CA MP5A4 and put a m110 in it and it is shooting 390-395. Thing work amazingly, I havent used any TM AEG's before but I would recommend CA every time.

Thanks, I most likely will go with CA. So far I have met a few people who own CA MP5's and they are very happy with them.

^thats a pretty nifty site there, anyway, would you be planning to get a a mp5 with a full stock, retractable, or folding, just wondering :-k

If I do end up getting an MP5, it will have a full stock. This is simply based on the looks.
that shouldn't be based on looks, it gives you more accuracy and a feel of stability, but yeah good choice :P

Good to know  :)  So far I've only held one MP5 and it belonged to an APD employee. It had a full stock and I liked the feel and the looks, so i figured I'd stick with that. If anyone has an opinion on what the best stock for an MP5 is, please speak up.

CA MP 5's are plastic? I thought the sportline guns were the only plastic CA's. (again, very new to AEG's)

Don't worry about sounding too pushy. I appreciate the advice and I'm learning a lot. I am currently looking into good CA guns to buy for my next gun. I most likely will get an MP5, still not sure yet though.

I do like the large pistol idea however.

Thanks for the advice. I will most likely hold off on all the upgrading until I can afford a Classic Army. Than again, that depends if I start having problems with my Echo 1 or not. If it works fine for a long time, than I will most likely just get a tightbore and maybe some gears.

Well, I would save up for a CA gun of some sort, I have a lot of Echo1 guns and I can say.... They break.
And they do shoot better out of the box. Accuracy and FPS, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't upgrade
some stuff internally.
I would go for new gears, shim job, and a new battery/charger. And a thightbore barrel never hurt anyone.

Thanks, might try some of those. My second gun will most likely be a CA if I start having problems with my Echo.

AEG's / Upgrading Echo 1's

I am very, VERY new to AEG's. I recently purchased an Echo 1 M4 Carbine. So far I am very pleased and have had a lot of fun with it. However, I was considering upgrading some of the internals. I have visited APD a couple times and one of the employees told me that Echo 1's are best straight out of the box and probably should not be upgraded. Than again, I also have heard that they are very upgradable. I was wondering if someone could clarify this for me and let me know if it is worth it to upgrade anything on this gun or if I should just leave it as it is. (sorry if this has been brought up before)

Sounds cool. Hopefully I will be able to make it. If anyone is selling their Echo 1's, make sure to bring them, my dad and I have been looking to buy some.

Thanks guys. Nice to be welcomed. I believe me and my dad are going to Rebel Union Fight Night this friday (sorry if I got the name wrong). Hope to see some of you there.

Hey guys, my name is Sam and I have been into airsoft for a few years now. Mostly, I have just played with spring pistols and shotguns in peoples backyards, but recently I purchased an Echo 1 M4 AEG. So far I love the thing and can't wait to try going to some of the more serious games. Anyways, I have just been browsing these forums lately and finally decided to make a profile.
