Airsoft Items FOR SALE / Re: Performance Batteries, 8.4V & 9.6V
« on: December 10, 2008, 09:17:09 AM »
In response to some questions;
- No, I do not use Tenergy cells.  Though I haven't tested them myself, I have heard from numerous sources that they do not perform as specified.  You can find cheap Tenergy packs on E-Bay that list the same statistics, but don't expect the same performance.
- Yes, Dean's connectors are available, I also recommend 4mm gold bullet connectors
- Yes, I can create any battery configuration, i.e. voltage, capacity, configuration (nunchuck, stick...), size, etc
- I normally ship the packs pre-conditioned and charged (immediately prior to shipping/delivery).  If you wish to perform the conditioning yourself, I can ship them in 'factory' condition.
- Yes, I have sold some of these packs as well as used them myself.  All reports are that they perform as advertised.
- Satisfaction guaranteed.  I believe in receiving excellent customer service, so I am committed to giving excellent customer service.
- I am a degreed engineer with over 15 years of product development experience, I've done my research.  Specific performance testing resulting are being gathered and will be published shortly.

Airsoft Items FOR SALE / Performance Batteries, 8.4V & 9.6V

New Duck Smart Battery Packs for sale.
I currently have in stock;
    2 packs, each is a 8.4V 4200mAH 40A in standard flat configuration, Standard (large) Tamiya connectors, $50 each
    3 packs, each is a 9.6V 4200mAH 40A in standard flat configuration, Gold Standard (large) Tamiya Connectors, $55 each

Pictures can be found either on E-Bay (seller ducksmartenterprises) or the store at; http://www.dmairsoft.com
In short, I found the commercial packs to be expensive and not very well tailored for performance.  So, as a product development engineer, I decided to do something about it.  All of these packs are available with performance gold connectors if desired.  Nunchuck and stick style also available, as well as other voltages and capacities.  Also, if you need any adapters for various connectors, let me know since they are simple to put together.

Contact me at ducksmart@cox.net if you are interested in the packs already built, or in a custom pack.

Thanks.  Except how can you see me?  You mean Camo doesn't make me invisible?  I saw this show on the Military Channel...

(pss, that was sarcasm if you didn't catch it *grin*)

Actually those sniper guys are impressive.

Somebody who prefers Airsplat?  Wow, never thought I'd hear of such a person.  Wish I had done my homework before buying from them...

Decent prices, decent selection, not-so-decent service.  No email and phone contact is iffy.  I prefer to deal with AirSplat.com over AirsoftAtlanta, as they have a similar selection, similar prices and the service is MUCH better.  It doesn't hurt that they are also in CA (faster shipping).

I specifically asked, twice, for them to ship an advanced replacement and authorized they charge my card, but they wouldn't.  They didn't even tell me they wouldn't, they just waited a few days after they recieved my first return before shipping the replacement (which also was broken, see; viewtopic.php?f=94&t=5867).  I also asked for them to send an return shipping label, they refused both times.  I paid the first time.  Now I'm taking it up with the cc company.  I told AS they could pick up the defective merchandise with 24hr advance notice.

We apologize for the inconvenience.  A new replacement order including a return shipping label will be shipped shortly.  Please use the provided return shipping label to return the original item in its original box.

Please reply to this email with your authorization to send the advance replacement.

Informational Links / Re: Want to work with Airsoft for a living? (in CA)
« on: September 11, 2008, 03:26:28 PM »
I would never work for them.  Not after my first and last experience with them.  Unlike other posts, I had no problem with them shipping my order quickly.  It's just that twice they have shipped me defective AEG's that either failed upon first magazine or were visible damaged when the box was opened.  Then they refuse you to put you in phone contact with anyone from "support" and the emails you get back from support never address half your questions (if any of them).

So, here's the story;
- Ordered M14
- Received broken
- I paid to ship back (per their warranty)
- Ordered SPR M16 replacement
- Received broken
- AirSplat insists I pay once more for shipping.  Refuses to compensate me for second occurance of shipping costs.  Refuses to allow me to talk with someone who can make decisions, they send me terse emails saying they refuse to do anything.
- Initiated dispute w/ credit card company, and told them they could pick up the defective merchandise with 24hr advance notice.

If you want the emails, or the photos of the AEGs, just ask.
