Gun is basically brand new. Less than 500 rounds have been put through it. After getting this I decided I wanted to stick with an M16, so I am selling this to buy another. Gun brand new is 400$. I would like to start it at 375 OBO. Here's a link to the actual gun on Airsoft GI. My number is 253.548.7058. Shoot me a text with any questions or just PM me.

Introduce Yourself! / Hello from WA
« on: February 10, 2012, 01:52:25 AM »
Hey everybody.

I figured I might as well formally introduce myself. I am actually a Sophomore at Embry-Riddle this year. I have played for about 5 years now up in WA. I play for a smaller team up in WA called Fox_Hound and we play a lot up north. Relatively well known for a smaller team. Down here I play for Mile High Airsoft, the local club here at ERAU. I have played a lot of outdoor in the PacNW which I find a blast, but there is nothing like a great CQC match. I have had extensive training in MOUT, by 3 members of different branches. I have been taught methods of MOUT by the Marines, 101st Airborne, and the Air Force. I enjoy learning from active duty personnel and learning the numerous ways of conducting Military Operations in Urban Terrain.

I enjoy playing airsoft. It's a great way to escape the stresses of studing Aeronautical Engineering. Oh and my callsign is Red. Or Big Red. But most people just call me Red.

If you're using an army of 2 mask then just use some safety glasses underneath. Those should work just fine unless you cut out the mesh in the eyes.

I own an army of 2 mask myself and unless lenses underneath are required, I wouldn't worry about it. I haven't had a BB shatter on them unless someone was running bio's indoors, which they got in deep shit for.

I would highly recommend a hydration pack. Hydrate or Die. Also I would buy a vest and some mags before I worked on the weapon. I personally find no need for optics because we are simply not shooting long enough range with airsoft rifles. Also if you play with your weapon long enough you can already tell where the bb's are going to go. I find optics a waste of money. But then again that's my opinion.

For a vest I would recommend an ALICE LBV. They're very cheap and they work great. I got mine for 5 dollars and have never had any issues with them. They're lightweight and hold an adequate amount of magazines. Also I have just put on some molle pouches around the belt to hold more magazines and a drop pouch. Plate carriers are too expensive for me. They are also bulky. And we're airsofting so I find a plate carrier redundant.

But remember we're just throwing our opinions at you. Take what you like and develop your own system. Mine works great for me and it might not for others :)

the only time you will have to worry about that is if people are running BIO's. I have never had an issue at any field with wearing mesh. In the PacNW, no indoor even is allowed to run BIO's for this reason. Its a great idea because mesh is a very useful style of mask.

Or you could always run a ALICE LBV. I love my vest and it holds everything that I need. It's lightweight and very comfortable. And CHEAP!

Wearing mesh does not require wearing glasses. I wear mesh when i play CQC and it works out great.
