Yeah, there's definately some hostility here. I'm not going to bring it up anymore. Delete this thread if you want. I'll keep it to myself. Do most of the teams here play Battlefield 2 conquest style rules? Thanks for radio advice. I'm going to check that out right now.

Thanks for the feedback.

Note: I'm not here to cause problems or exstensive arguments. I just wanna get some feedback from experienced players.

1. I'm not convinced that airsoft being national or popular would necessarily be bad. I think being sponsored (even wearing logos to a certain extent on BDUs) would be a good thing. It will be a lot easier to get good guns, uniforms, places to play, etc. I don't plan on letting people under 18 or possibly 16 to play anyway, so you wouldn't have to worry about little kids running around ruining it. I think if it was more popular, it would be more acceptable among the community and law enforcement. I don't think I'm getting your guys points. All I heard was "airsoft + public = bad" basicly. Anyway, I think it would be cool to be national because then it would be large scale. How cool would it be to have a 128 vs 128 match given flaws are minimized (maybe have referees or something). Would have many squads per team and plenty of room for special operations. That would be interesting to watch as an internet show or possibly television. Cameras could be placed not only on helmets, but on the guns so it could look like a common first person shooter video game. I think more than just first person shooter gamers would get a kick out of that.

2. I'm not exactly sure how high of a level airsofting is but I know it's not national, so I thought I'd get something together.

3. Yeah, I'm definately going to be getting in to some games. I realize if I'm going to run something then I better have some experience under my belt. I'll try to make all that I can. (love airsofting) :)

4. Radios are definately better than cell phones. Are they expensive?

5. Thanks for the price range advice. I will most likely change them, but I was just aiming to get people interested in cheaper guns so they would more likely join and try it out.

Lol, I feel like a n00b. Thanks for feedback. I appreciate more! :)

General Airsoft Discussion / National Airsoft League!

In the interest of making airsoft a national sport (because that would be fariggin awesome :)), I set up a myspace.com profile for an official Arizona team to compete againt other state teams. In addition, I'm trying to get more people into airsoft by mass friend requesting and by making it a little more popular it might become more acceptable among the general public and our local law enforcers. If you have a myspace.com account, join up! www.myspace.com/arizonaairsoftteam is our profile but make sure you join the groups (look under step 4 of joining the team). If you don't have a myspace, no worries. The team isn't based on myspace. Just shoot me an email at dopeyrecords@hotmail.com . I plan on getting a web site up soon and basing everything off of it and simply linking to it from the myspace group and profile because I know it isn't convient for everyone to have a myspace.com account.

I'm aiming to try rules similar to games like Battlefield 2 in which points on a map must be a captured and used as respawn points. I'm planning to use some additional rules like prisoners, knife kills (physical contact), wireless headset (by cell phone) communication, and main base flag capture (bringing flag to other main base).

Once I buy some BDUs I'm going to try joining up on some of the matches posted here. Hopefully I'll be able to afford a UTG soon. :) I'm having to use a crappy Double Eagle brand M4 which I've broken once already, and it's being held together by tape and glue. (lol)
