STORY:
your probably not going to read it anyways
The year is 20XX...
The La Ira De Dios Cartel has grown extremely powerful in Mexico since the abduction and execution of Mexican President Victoriano Huerta. In a short amount of time following that event many other cartels have been destroyed by La Ira De Dios like the Zetas and Knights Templar. While other cartels were bought out to join the La Ira De Dios Cartel, such as Sinaloa, Gulf and Jalisco New Generation. Now all the major cartels became one and are simply referred to as, "The Cartel".
"The Cartel" has a profound stranglehold on the Mexican government and it's military allowing "The Cartel" freedom of movement throughout the country. Drugs, human trafficking, and dangerous "Cartel" members easily cross the border into the United States. The American media has downplayed these actions as Illegal immigrants, women and children seeking a better life from the dangers of Mexico and Central America.
"The Cartel" has taken control of San Luis AZ and Somerton AZ, publicly murdering those that oppose them. Yuma is the only town left that has not fallen in the southwest region of AZ and prevents "The Cartel" from moving towards Phoenix. The US president has done noting to secure our borders or help the town of Yuma, instead the president began talks at Congress about providing these "illegal immigrants" free healthcare and education. Outraged by this, American Militia groups from across AZ and neighboring states have stepped up to combat "The Cartel".
Which side will you be on in the Mexican Standoff?
TEAMS:
/|American Militia|\
Uniform-
Any color camouflage. Must look as OAFing possible. Even simple camo tops and bottoms is Ok. Must be some sort of camo pattern green or tan.
Equipment-
Radios is a must. Mid-caps only but can have any number of mid caps OR only 1 hi-cap. If you have a light machine gun (ex= SAW PKM M60) you cannot reload during a mission, you only have one full drum each game.
/|The Cartel|\
*This team will have more members than the American Militia and will have "El Viejo" who can kill his own men if he is not pleased.*
Uniform-
Wear whatever you want, jeans and a t shit is perfect. The more cartel you look the better. Simple Chest rigs are ok to wear. No plate carriers. No body armor. No camouflage!
Equipment-
Any number of hi-caps or drum mags.
ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT FOR BOTH TEMAS:
Flashlights and NVG (of you have them) for night time games. Dead rags. A springer airsoft gun (ex spring pistol, shotgun, or rifle). A game round will require spring powered guns. (You can buy a crappy one for like $10 at a flea market)
FPS LIMITS:
Please be an adult about this. Know your guns FPS with .25gram. Your welcome to use any weight BB during play.
Don't be a jerk, mind your safety distance, we don't want to hurt people. The higher FPS the longer your engagement range is. Bring a pistol to close that gap.
350 and below CQB
350-400 is ideal for most field guns and light machine guns
400-450 DMR role single shot only
450+ Sniper role only
EXTRA NOTES:
Obviously Cartel have the advantage over Militia in firepower and manpower but there will handicaps in place to still keep gameplay fair.
Militia should be made up of high speed folks ready for a challenge working as a team and getting missions accomplished so if that's you go militia.
Cartel is if you like running and gunning.
It's hotter in Yuma than Phoenix area or any other area in AZ so bring the right stuff like WATER and food. There is gas stations and food establishments 15ish min drive from the field.
We look forward to meeting out of town folks and wish to show AZ Yuma plays airsoft also.
Please comment for any questions and I'll forward it to my friend the host.
The host of this plays both in the US and Mexico Airsoft and his English is alright. So please be clear on your questions.
