For weapons, will any M4 work for a US kit or does have to be the specific configuration or licensed model?  I have the VFC Avalon VR16 but obviously that isn't a real gun in the real world.

Talking about GBB? It's Kwa. For AEG, there really is not a good one out there. Maybe a tokyo marui, but they are going to be hard to find ... VFC is going to come out with an AEG mp7 sometime, or so they say, all we can do is wait and see...

I love the HK416 but I am also looking towards the M27 just because it counts as an IAR (Infantry Automatic Rifle) and can be used on full auto at some fields.
But the 416 is much lighter and easier in case I run into a CQC situation.
What would you guys recommend?

Nice, out of all my stuff, I don't have any HK stuff unfortunately.

Can't go wrong with HK in real life or airsoft.  I personally love my VFC 416 and KWA MP7 to death.  I use my 416 outside and my mp7 indoors and couldn't be happier.  Maybe add the mp7 to your collection to join your vector???
