pretty cool. Would've been interesting to see what a 50 could do to it...

A website that does tests like that is theboxotruth.com

Their articles are pretty good. They do a lot of shooting tests on things, and get rid of myths about certain cartridges and things like that.

Well, after thinking about it for a bit.. it wouldn't be logical for me to go. Hardly ever fired any real arms, except for Bens and a few of my friends and family, and rushing to get an AR to go to the 3-gun wouldn't be logical. I'm still rushing to get an AR, I'll have one by next weekend, possibly this weekend. But, still too fast to do something like the 3-gun match.

Sorry, guys!

Oh, Andy and Ben.. Thanks alot for asking if I needed to borrow any firearms. Means alot. Sorry I gotta turn you down.

About the AR, stick with the abc's.

armalite, bushmaster, colt. anything else (other than olympic arms maybe) is complete CRAP and to be avoided.

sorry for the hijack, and sorry if you already knew it, I just dont want someone to waste 800$ on a piece of crap.

too bad you cant quite fill it then, eh?
Well, im not 6'1 weighing closer to 200lbs... so no.

Someone makes a good point to you, so instead of answering it you decide to personally insult their looks?

Go ahead, call me a chairsofter, noob, minor, dumbass, whatever. I don't care. There's a million bad things I could say about you (just from what I read on the forums) but I won't and never will. Sinking to your low level is just low.
Mine? NO, I don't think you understand...Farslayer...is about those dimensions...and it was his suit so of course it wasn't going to fit me

Woops.

I thought you were insulting surplus man about his weight... but I guess you were just talking about the size of the ghillie suit. Forget what I said and lets get this thread back on topic.

Big mess up on my part.

A post where a 14 year-old states that he purchased an CA AEG, even though CA demands that the possessors be of legal age (18 years minimum) to own it.  Beautiful, and expressive of all of my posts over the past 5 years here...

Maybe his parents legally bought it, but it's his?

That's what we did for my paintball gun and airsoft guns.
And thats why I don't think you should have either of those... Some kids that even shoot real steel from when they are very small, when they get their hands on an airsoft gun they get stupid.

So it's OK for you to airsoft guns because, well you ARE you, but it's not okay for me to have airsoft guns because, well, I'm me?

Explain? Just because I don't legally own it doesn't mean I can't use it.

Well, lots of people I know shoot with their hands close together, especially when standing and when its a really front heavy gun.

Not sure about the stock on shoulder thing, some people do that. I tried it and it just seems so uncomfortable... but w/e.

That's cause it's Dusty's target. :)

Looks like his marksmanship skills are a little "dusty"!

Tell me that was a pistol at 75 feet, and I won't laugh AS HARD. . .

Looks like 223 holes to me...

Also, where did you find an indoor range that let you guys shoot 223?

Guys... I think he was asking for the RANGE on this thing, not on your opinions if it should be used in a game.

Wish they could have zoomed in a little bit on the targets, the video itself didnt really show much. I couldnt even see what they were shooting at.Oh well. It was a little interesting. What was the weapon he was using? I couldnt tell for sure

M16. The upper looks a little a funky since he has a bipod folded in.

Here is a little background info posted about this event on another forum:
Quote
The 5 man BW crew that was assinged tto CPA Najaf were coming under heavy small arms and mortor fire, the city was being taken over by insurgents. The Police stations and hospitals were taken by as well, after a day of fighting off hundreds of insurgents the city had been completly overran, with the CPA in the heart of the city and no way out.

the Team called up to Baghdad and reported the situation. they said they needed immediate extract which Gen Sanchez also denined due to the fact the city had been overran and they were no US troops there, only contractors. Well Ambassador Bremer was pissed at sanchez and I remember being on office watch during the massive arguments! ambassador bremer and our Baghdad TM Leader got together and Bremer said "I dont want another Bridge hanging! Get those boys out of there by any means nessassary!" so 12 of us 6pilots and 6 gunners loaded as much as we could in 3 MD530 little birds and headed 70 miles south. we flew in the first day and blind (no comms, and no intel on the heat) to try a resupply, land find out was was going on and then head back, rearm and get ready to go again. Well that night all hell broke lose and we flew back in. Over 1000 insurgents (reported by the F18 pilots) had taken the city and now wanted the CPA after a day of intense fighting by 11 BW guys, airstrikes, a handfull of Marines and 1 sniper we were able to hold them off. After it DIED down and gunships and SF guys finnally started to roll in the battle was soon over and we the CPA was saved.
That pretty much it in a nut shell...

ar15.com?

Supposedly the sniper in that video is SIMPLYDYNAMIC, who posts there.  He seems pretty serious too, he gave us lots of info about it before newspaper articles were posted.

"Over There" sounds so stupid. I wish I had watched it, if that makes any sense at all.
