I can see where the cops are coming from on this one. It's gotta be hard on any officer to shoot some guy then find out he was holding an aisoft gun. If you point a realistic weapon at someone it is exactly the same whether it shoots bullets or plastic, you're liable to get shot. That said, I hope that we don't see any restrictive legislation on airsoft guns or anything else, giving away our freedoms for the sake of some stupid kids (and adults) safety is about the stupidest thing in the world. We cant protect these people from their own stupidity, if you restict airsoft, they will find some other way to get themselves killed or arrested.  And I certainly don't agree with you guys saying no-one under 18 should possess them, that should be up to responsible parents just like everything else. If you can give your kid a real gun, why not a fake one? Any legislation restricting any gun-like item is just a step closer to banning guns and a major win for the anti-gun lobby.

Well, first of all, I just bought an Mp5-J that I'm eagerly awaiting which will become my CQB weapon, that means that It's open season on upgrades for my M16A1.  I wanna get started researching what I can do to maximize the range, effectiveness, and "cool factor" on my old A1. Keeping in mind that this project will not take place till after I get myself set up with a good tactical rig (my current one is a mixture of surplus army crap and homemade crap, just barely functional). My question is this, other than a scope and internal upgrades what can I do with the A1? Most handguard/rail mods wont work on the A1. I'm thinking either a 203 or the Masterkey shotgun I've seen pics of.  Any other mods that go well with a M16A1? Second thing is I've never cracked open an AEG mechbox, should I attempt the internal upgrades myself or pay someone to do it, I'm not really worried about downtime as long as my MP5 works up to par. I just dont know how sensitive these things are and dont want to mess it up permanantly.

Just goes to show there are ignorant people everywhere. I cant believe the lady said she didnt have to take those bills, it says right on them they are legal tender for all debts public and private... I've had people question the new tri-colored 20 Dollar bills. and I remember when the Saqaguweah (or however you spell it) dollars came out people questioned those too... I mean, wtf. And just the other day a lady was eying me suspiciously and did the pen check twice on one of the older 20's with the smaller picture. I mean come on. This is not a problem caused by terrorists, It's a problem caused by the degredation of our school system and lower skills (read intelligence) of our work force.

Hey, just bought a MP5-J from precision airsoft, and it takes only mini-size batteries. The only one's i've seen are 8.4 or 9.6v 600mAH, anyone know of higher capacity minis? This is only my second AEG, my m16 has a 3000mAH and lasts for days on end so I've never had to worry about batteries much. Should I spend the 80 or so bucks to get the large hand guard and put large batteries in it, what about external? Anyone who uses external batteries? Are they more hindrance than help? Thanks in advance for your advice.
