gonna use it to maybe buy a mid-length upper for my AR  :)

I'll probably put it to use the same way.  I'll have to consider it though, as I won't be able to use it as much as I'd like this year when it's here in the states and I'm in Iraq.

How do you like it?

Newer M249s don't have an adjustable gas regulator anymore though.

Can still serve the purpose of being a pain in the ass while disassembling the M249 though.

I had a pair of Altamas that I wore the shit out of.

They were so comfortable when I broke 'em in.

Then my PSG told me I couldn't wear them anymore because they were getting a little worn down.  Depression sunk in soon thereafter.

A comfortable pair of boots can't be beat for when you need the kind of support they can provide.

I didn't think multicam would go so well with flanel pajama bottoms...

I had two sets issued to me here at Ft. Riley.

Apparently it was an error as they were supposed to be issued only to MTT guys in 1/1 ID.  Only time I took 'em out of the bag is when I had to return them to CIF.

Should have tried one on.  Looked cool though.

As for the nomex "flight suits."  The Army put out that soldiers must increase their water intake while wearing the nomex suits.  Just a guess, but with that, they probably don't breath as well as ACUs... and some of us know what a joke that is.

Visited Ft. Sam in JAN to see a best friend who has already completed everything you've enlisted for.

It sucked soooo bad.  Hopefully they made some improvements to AIT barracks conditions.

But good luck.

I work in a building that's underground.

I'm on a computer for the most of the day creating intel products for MITTs, the Ft. Riley CoS, and the G2 and CG of 1ID.

The acronym ACE certainly isn't a synonym for fun, but working there is still enjoyable.

Are you looking to buy either one?

If not, stop posting stupid shit.  Either that or change your name to ForumEATINGVirus.

If you are, the two things that stand out to me are the fact that the more expensive one has a stock and the PEQ laser.

I don't know how I'm going to be able to go on with life. This is simply terrible.

I don't want to watch an hour of the OC on a spaceship with some CX4s and Five-seveN's in the mix.

The drama of the rich california life, in space, with weapons? GENIUS!! This will be bigger than American Idol!

I would love to see the OC on a spaceship.

Think about it, the finale would be amazing.  They would totally get in a fight and someone would shoot someone and "Hide and Seek" would kick in.

Battlestar Galactica

MicrowvbleTurtle,

Have you been deployed to a Muslim nation?  Have you witnessed Muslim, non-Arab nationals shoot at the very Americans who are training them in the skills they require to defend themselves against a terrorist-backed governmental offensive?

If not, are you at least aware that this is occurring?

Why, then, do you still say that we should not be suspicious toward ALL muslims encountered in foreign
territory?

I'm everything but a SME regarding the religion of Islam, but I know firsthand that there are more than a hand full of Muslims that would delight in nothing more than taking Western lives, even if it means taking their own in the process.

Hezbollah, AQ, UIC, Hamas, crimson jihad - whatever the **** they call themselves, and no matter what they publicly state as their ally or opposition, they are all the same in my book.  Either American (or ally), or Muslim.  They can't be both.

All this s*** about Islam being the "Religion of Peace" is nonsense.  It's time the world wakes up from it's Utopian dream and realize we are on a collision course with the complete annihilation of our way of life!

Nope, nor have I claimed to have been.

Fuck, I don't even have any orders to go overseas yet.  Rumor has it I'm going to Iraq in April 2008, but that's only a rumor.

But, you speak of Muslims and the religion of Islam.  Does Iraq consist of only Muslims?  The answer to that question would be a definite no.  Religion has no borders.  To fight religion is not to fight certain countries, but a belief.  To fight a belief, especially if that belief has been taught in school as opposed to say math and science, is incredibly difficult if you haven't already noticed through your personal experiences.

As for "Religion of Peace", I couldn't agree with you more.  I'm done buying that shit, but many other religions beside Islam claim to be based off of peace.  Do you believe they actually are peaceful?  For the most part, I don't.
