« on: June 27, 2006, 11:20:58 AM »
On Friday July 21, the Phoenix Police Department and the Luke AFB Explosive Ordinance Disposal Squadron will hold a dinner fundraiser for the family of TSgt Walter Moss.  The dinner will be held at F.O.P. Lodge 2 12851 North 19th Ave (5 pm - 9 pm).  The price is $10 per person.  The dinner will feature music, a silent auction, raffle, and interactive bomb exhibit.

Marauders Airsoft will be donating 50% of all admission generated during the July 16th game at Operation Iraqi Freedom to the fundraiser on July 21.

About TSgt Walter Moss
On March 29th, 2006, U.S. Air Force Tech Sgt. Walter Moss was killed in action while he was deployed in Baghdad, Iraq.  He was attempting to disarm an improvised explosive device when it detonated and he paid the ultimate price so that others may live.

Sgt. Moss was a 16 year veteran of the United States Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit, and was deployed to Iraq with the 477th Flight. He worked and trained with local Air Force E.O.D. personnel and local Police Agencies Bomb Squads.

Sgt. Moss was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart while in Iraq. He is survived by his wife and two children ages 13 and 9.

Marauders Airsoft would like to thank everyone who came out to the last two games of Operation Iraqi Freedom: Ramadi Tales.  Our team raised $250 to contribute to the TSgt Moss Benefit Dinner.

We got a great surprise when Marauders Team Member, Mike Chisum matched the funds raised bringing our donation to $500!  One of our team members also won a EOD Schrade Knife and donated it to one of the Luke Air Force Base EOD Technicians.

Thank you again to those who came out to the games in July that helped raise funds for TSgt Moss's family.
