Best Stock (AEG) MP5
« on: August 10, 2006, 01:11:37 AM »
I would say that I unfortunately interested my brother-in-law in airsoft just as he and my sis signed up for classes at NAU. He's known about it for a couple years but never thought anything of it until he read about and saw pictures of the official AA games here on these forums, and for his sake, I wanted to hear your guys' opinions about which mainstream airsoft company makes the best stock MP5. (Although, for now, he's only gonna be doing some saving up for it.)

The different types or MP5s (SD6/J/K/etc) do not matter at this point in his decision.

Things to consider are build quality, stock power and accuracy, and appearance and price.

I never knew that three inches was the minimum length for a handgun barrel. I guess all of the anti-gun politicians wont be able to register their penises.

AE/ICS is the same thing.

Really, honestly? The best stock MP5 is a Classic Army M4. MP5 mags are hard to load fast, it has a funny grip angle, terrible cheekweld solutions, and if you wanna put an optic on it, it's sort of dorky.

Barring serious sense and reality, the TM one will be your best bet. The AE MP5s are preupgraded ICS MP5s, and they're pretty junky. I had one a long time ago.

I'm sure the Classic Army one is OK too now that they have the new B&T trademarked ones. Pretty much everything Classic Army makes NOW is generally pretty excellent.

i have a CA SD5 B&T one, and its a very nice gun solid and all, it was shooting 300 stock. I know some one who had the old type of the Sd5 and they have had theirs a  year and never had a problem with it and its still working fine.

The a2 has a different type of selector, its basicly the civilian type compared to  the Navy type.

mp5/g36 selector aren't the best at staying on but they get the job done, i have yet to encounter the problem of my selector falling off on ethier of my mp5's. They get loose but i just tighten them.

That happened to a friend of mine who's still playing Backyard. His brand new CA G36c selector switch just popped right off while he was demonstrating its awesomeness.

Yes... Yes, Google is there for me when I need it, but, it doesn't know how to LOVE.

It's settled. I'm getting the lucky bastard a Classic Army B&T MP5A4 Navy w/ Taclight from AEX, along with a RIS handguard.

Shhh.
