My last topic got locked so this is the new one.

Fish, how much of an increase in FPS would a tightbore give me and what exactly do they do?

The max fps increase you would get would be about 10 fps.  They don't give you more range, fps does that, they just give you tighter groupings.

Okay, they will increase about 10 fps if you’re going from a 6.08 to a 6.04/6.03. They are tighter barrels, so when a BB goes through your barrel it will have more air propelling it. The point of one is to increase accuracy, and range. By accuracy I mean the BBs will be more concentrated. I would recommend a Prometheus, because their barrels are of higher quality and are 6.03, but 6.04 and 6.03 perform pretty much the same. You just pay more if the barrel is built of stronger material. Some people experience feeding problem with the Prometheus, although I've never had this problem, and I have never cleaned or touched my barrel. I also would recommend you have someone good install it.

Yes, it gets rid of most of the "shotgun effect."  Range isn't affected.

It is, because you have more air probelling the BB. Not by alot, but it is effected. And the M15A4 has good stock  range. Its an airsoft gun, not a real weopen, and you really don't need 400+ fps to hit something.

I only have experience with the Prometheus, but I have also heard good things about the systema and KM. And if you can't find the right length for your gun, go to http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/

Does anybody know what length of a tightbore barrel to get for an M15A4 Tactical Carbine?  I can't seem to find one that would fit.
