Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorio
« on: October 04, 2006, 10:40:55 PM »
Is anyone else going to see this movie next month?

I just came back from an early screening and despite what appeared to be poor production values from the trailers, I was pleasantly surprised to find something as funny as this. Despite it only running for about an hour and a half it felt that I was watching a movie twice that long. The Borat character goes through so much changes that it does make it feel like the movie is longer than it really is.

Hell yeah, I've been following the comedy of Sacha Baron Cohen for a long time now.

I never knew that three inches was the minimum length for a handgun barrel. I guess all of the anti-gun politicians wont be able to register their penises.

I was at the AZ Mills screening, waited for an hour + 1/2 and then was told that they ran out of seats, making up for it with the screening that took place in Arrowhead today, which I went to.  Funny stuff, but the gay porn could have been left for the DVD where I have a FF button and wouldn't have had to yell "Lords of Cobol, make it stop!"

You should never yell that anyway...this coming from someone who really likes BSG, too.

They censored Borat's genitals (exaggerated too) but we had to see two other instances of male nudity. If there was female nudity that would've helped balance it out.

Other than though, the movie is pretty funny, the previews and trailers aren't enough, go watch it when it comes out folks!
