Flags of Our Fathers

- Epic. The trailer is somewhat misleading. To put it bluntly, if you want action, this movie dishes out more than you might first expect. If you want emotion, this movie is a goldmine. The film recounts the tragic story of the five US Marines who were photographed raising the American flag atop Mt. Suribachi on the island of Iwo Jima during the Pacific campaign of WWII.

My RATING: 7 out of 5.

I never knew that three inches was the minimum length for a handgun barrel. I guess all of the anti-gun politicians wont be able to register their penises.

Just a little Marine Corps history, trivia, myth and folk lore!
The five the in the "picture" where not all Marines. There was some navy on the island at the same time in the form of corpsmen!

Unless we are talking about the REAL "first flag" raising!

Movies about Marines are always motivating!

Saw it yesterday, It was OK, Didn't learn anything new, Just made me want to honor our fallen

There was a older gentlemen in the crowed that had a Iwo Jima hat on that got standing ovation when we stood up to walk out of the theater,

That touched me more then the movie
