I couldnt really tell from the video, but do you think it snapped his neck or did he suffocate? His head looked pretty far back. And to answer the question of shitting himself, a lot of people do deficate when they die. The muscles relax before rigor sets in and kinda lets it go.

In a model hanging, the cervical spine snaps when the body drops.  This causes breathing to stop.  Within a minute or so full respiratory arrest kicks in and leads rapidily to metabolic disfunction that, together with the rising levels of CO2 in the blood, causes a very painfull explosive heart attack.

This shit really hurts.

Fortunately, the condemned is usually aware of all of the pain and suffering.  The c-spine snap doesn't stop the brain from sensing pain.

Oh, the noose does constrict air and blood flow, just in case.

Yeah, he shit and pissed himself.  At the moment of brean death the spincters in the body relax and ... well, shit happens.

The only better way to have killed this worthless terrorist fuck would have been to gas his ass slowly.....

glad to see there is still a sense of justice in the world.  It's usually sad when people die but this guy surely won't be missed.

Not to get into a political debate in this otherwise friendly forum, but isn't the freedom of the Iraqi people from such a dictator worth the lives of those who volunteer for service? It's never good to lose our countrymen, but remember, no one over there was drafted.

It was beat into my head during my service. "As a soldier in the United States Armed Service, you ARE in the business of death. Don't ever forget, you WILL be told to do things unsafe. You WILL be put in harms way for reasons you cannot understand. Make no mistake, when the time comes to fight, you will fight, or you will die." "And then you will be in a world of sh*t, because Marines are not allowed to die without permission!" R. Lee. Emery, Full Metal Jacket

Now please, we could go round about this for hours, arguing semantics. I would love to have my brothers and sisters alive. I don't believe the govn't went about the war properly, but that does not negate the fact that a terrorist and convicted criminal against humanity has been removed from power.

Obviously Saddam wasn't our main objective, or we wouldn't still be there, now passing 2 years since his capture.

---Ok, I'm off the soapbox now  [smilie=armata_pdt_40.gif]
