I think its a little excessive for a airsoft sniper, granted, its really kool and all, but you can get a bit of a smaller size like Tanaka m700 aics go with that and save close to $900

Useless expenditure. The thing probably weighs more than you do, 8mm bbs are expensive and hard to come by. It would be a very foolish purchase, even if it was purchased for you.
They have like 4000 or more at Softair Depot.

Really? Huh, although there you will be paying the 3 time mark up.

Are your sure you meant to say "you"

-B00M!

Um, yes. Your would not work in this instance. Nice try though. Anyway, not to derail the thread, but like I said there are much better things to spend your money on.

I would like to see what kind of range they can get out of one of these in 8mm. And assuming it is semiauto and can realy reach out and touch people it would have its uses in games. If someone gave me one, I'd use it.

Don't get this, it's so rediculously expensive and it's one of those guns that is perfect in rare cases and terrible for all others.  20 lbs might not sound like a lot to you now, but that adds up in the field.  The mags look like they might be hard to find gear for too.

It's important to mention that these shoot for absolute shit. A friend of mine on the Roughnecks, an airsoft team out of California, had one, and it performs for shit.

The original thread was “were to buy a M82â€￾, not whether to buy one of not. Spend your money on whatever you like, don't let people tell you what to use your money on. I don't think it's a waist to spend money on something you really like and something you will use allot. And if the gun is actually a POS like Vince said, you can always return it, or sell it.
