Here's a link to a team I played with briefly that goes to WW II sims.  This is a list of sources for equipment/gear.

And correct ranks, and other insignia. Which you have to buy. And legit helmets and helmet LINERS for germans are NOT cheap.

I'll just stop. There's a lot more. Please stay in you lane dude. Let people who actually KNOW about reenacting be the ones who issue advice for it.

The kind of German uniform that Supporter would be wearing does not have a "Nazi" symbol on it. Not all of them did. In fact, almost none of the battle uniforms the Third Reich used had swastikas on them.

Defacing the uniform would be more disrespectful than wearing it the way it originally was.

Ryan, as usual, is correct. The combat uniform did not include *most* of the offensive markings. Notable exceptions would be the swastika flash on the Wehrmarc "coal scuttle" helmet, or the sigruen (SS lightning bolt) collar tab for SS Infantry.

I for one applaud someone delving into legit re-enactment. I used to do Indian Wars re-enactment a bunch of years ago.

I think it'd be cool to do an authentic WWII uniform, German or not.  The German military, believe it or not, was not made up exclusively of evil men.  The average German infantryman probably was pretty damn similar to his American or British counterpart.

If you go for the uniform though, go to town on it, make it as authentic as possible.
