CA CQB 2 rd burst
« on: December 03, 2006, 09:04:37 PM »
in semi auto, my CBQR sometimes fires off 2 rounds. i dunno why. and sometimes after going from full auto to semi, the piston starts in some odd place, so the motor barely spins at all, and it sends one out.

Does the piston go back twice or does it just double feed?

The reason the motor doesn't turn much is becuase you piston was partially compressed from shooting on auto. The cause of the 2 round burst may be you selector is not all the way transfered back from when you switched form auto.

No longer airsofts... what a shame.

You can also try and check the 2 prongs on the switch assembly, one of em might by be down a bit more than the other causing it not to come in contact with the selector plate.

My 2 cents

The problem with short-cycling is as pilz described.  Not really a problem as much as an inconsistency.  You will get used to it after awhile.

The double BB problem could be anything from a bad switch, to the selctor plate, nozzle, tappet plate or even a bad sector gear.  You'll need to better describe the problem.

I know this is an old post but I found out the reason, The auto cutoff lever may be worn down and it could casue this, After a while my CQB when burst/auto in semi, but I had a new auto cut off lever installed and it works fine.
