well i dont have first hand experience but i have a story

friend had one thought he was bada$$ because he had a TOP M-60
took it out of the box (literly just took it out of the box brand new)shot it for the first time for about an hour and it took a dump on him

for the first hour though it was doing ok my CA AUG was shooting faster but the m-60 was being shot with a 1600 8.4V battery

but I've heard alot of bad things just about M-60's

all in all I think its a waist of money
if you want a support weapon buy an assault rifle, a good 8.4 or 9.6, a drumb mag and possibly a bi-pod, but being support is sometimes a waist of ammo

The enemy advances, we retreat. The enemy camps, we harass. The enemy
tires, we attack. The enemy retreats, we pursue.

An assault rifle is not a good support weapon. Get a star or CA m249, their gearboxes are made to cycle for long durations.

I havent heard good things about Top's guns.

Top's guns run on a different type of gear box that is meant for cycling many bb's before braking down. The only problem with the gear box is that you have to be a gear head or know some one who is because the gear box takes a little more maintenance than your average gear box. I thought about buying a M60 also and if you Google search the top models you will find a pacific island (Woot I have family that plays this sport) forum that has a HUGE page on this, that might help you. I'll try to find the link for you.

If you are serious about getting an m60 I would get the Inokatsu, You can't get any better. they are made from ehtier Full STEEL or a mixture of steel and aluminnum depeding on which one you get. Unlike the tops, they are actually metal. They have their new designed gearbox in them, but some of them utilize the v3 gearbox. They are very hevy since they are metal here is a link for the review on the MK43.

Or a Shoei MG42 with a recoil weight.

Good luck with your sholder after a day of shooting that as a support weapon.

Anyways, the TOP weapons use a bellows-type gearbox, which blows. (No pun intended.)  It will hold up for a few thousand rounds, and then it breaks.  It will last a little longer if you keep everything stock.  IMO, not worth it.

You could also wait for the M240 being worked on by inokatsu.

the problem with the TOP guns is they don't have the same gear boxes like a TM or CA STAR etc, and they are prone to break, don't buy an assult rifle and add a bipod and a drum, that only works if you convert say an AK to an RPK, or G36 to an MG36, it ruins the reality point i think. i say buy an inokatsu also or go with the STAR or CA M249. also they can be big and heavy, and you seem like small guy being 13, just a guess.  it might be troublesome for you, aslo being a very big gun.
