Yes Jason, that conflict was somewhat before my time.  The quote is from one of the most ornery, hell bent and awesome instructors I've ever known.  One of his favorite weapon platforms was the wart hog ugly A-10 Thunderbolt, any guess as to why?

Just to clarify, I had Jason change my username from Riggs to Downtown3.  There is no more Riggs and never should have been.  I'll explain.
It was a humid summer day in 1988.  I was running a high fever, or something equally distracting, and I decided to get my 1988 longer hair permed.  Yes, permed.  I looked, for ONE WHOLE DAY (after the stylist spent a long time syling it) similar to Martin Riggs in the first Lethal Weapon film.  I went to high school, the name stuck thanks to my buddies, and it has followed me through the years.  I looked like the Greatest American Hero every day after that, but I got lucky...they stayed with the first impression.
Anyway, though I still shoot Berettas I have little else in common with Mr. Riggs, so I picked a new handle and it'll fit me soon.
Glad to meet you as a "newbie."
