I guess you don't want to piss of those people... I wonder why they didn't even attempt the fight back with that kinda torture I would atleast try.

In those places, if you run or fight back you undoubtably will die. I remember hearing about a big fight to hold down a theif trying to escape mob justice in Nairobi, it was quite a brawl untill from back in the crown a boulder was passed to the front and placed on his head, he didnt squirm after that.
