Classic Army M24 gas conversion kit
« on: May 16, 2007, 03:55:50 PM »
I heard on shortyusa that there is a gas conversion kit for the Classic Army m24. I looked it up and i did find such thing. i want the m24 but i heard that if you get the upgraded spring it is kinda hard to cock. if i would get the gas kit would it be better then just getting the spring? like in accurcy and FPS.

WOULD IT BE WORTH IT?

No, the CA M24 gas bolt is a big piece of shit.

It's tough to pull back the bolt with an upgraded spring shooting 500fps. It's inconsistent and leaky if you use the gas cylinder. Both systems have their pros and cons. The best advice I can give is to buy a quality AEG and to stay away from the "sniper" rifles until you do more research on them.

I like my original sun project m40a1 with an upgraded spring. Granted, I work out and when I was a turbo computer geek the bolt was a bit of a PITA to cycle quickly but i barely notice now.. My weapon only shoots like 450fps though.

I just purchased a gas kjw m700 and really like the easy cycling. Cant tell yet which I prefer, but the spring is more reliable and consistent.
