AAR: Rebel Union Fight Night 17AUG2007
« on: August 17, 2007, 11:24:23 PM »
OK played my first game in AZ.  here's what happened.  figured those of you wanting to play might want to know whats up:

ok, so i couldn't find a AAR section on this forum, so I guess it goes in here.

we should ADD that section, so our AAR's aren't all mixed up with the regular pregame discussion...just a thought.

anyway, on to my AAR:

rolled up at 1845 at some guys house in North Peoria.  I didn't know anyone, or what anyone even looked like so it was a bit weird being the first one there.

So at 1900 4 people showed up.  sorry i forget anyone, but here goes:  James, Bill, Cobra Commander and Snake Eyes.  Later on several other joined up at the field.  David and his kid (im guessing 13?) Arsnt (sorry man if i butcher your name)

So we all play follow the leader out to a remote island in the desert.  just kidding it was a dusty trail and i keep waiting ror4 either El Guapo to jump out of the tumbleweeds or we'd bump into the "Titty Twister"  (bar from Dusk till dawn)

anyway, we set up lights and the generator (kudos for whomever designed and built the tripods for these lights)

I only stayed for three games.  haven't played night games since Kill Count back in 2004.  Couldn't see where anything was going, and the damn lights were in my face.  but it was fun.  we kinda called it cause i guess the other side was having the same issue.

so we changed it up a bit.

i got put on a squad with David's kid and it was our job to get across the whole field without getting either one of us shot.  and there were 4 teams of 2 patrolling with lights looking for us.

needless to say after deciding how to accomplish this.  I got out after taking out i think two guys and getting bunker-ed down behind a large tree.

sux to have 6 people bearing down on you with lasers etc.  was actually crazy!!!!

anyway, so we switched it up and i got to go hunt down Cobra Commander and Snake Eyes.  for some reason i got both out within about 1minute of game start.  weird.

so we restarted cause i guess they weren't ready.  perhaps they were too busy calling the Baroness on the phone to see what was up with her buddy's mom or something.  j/k guys!

so we restarted that game again.  got out after getting one.  hadn't been shot in the face in a while.  it was fun (yeah right!)

so i left to go home.  but i had a great time, and it was fun to play at night even though i cant see what's up.

i'll def. be there next time.

oh BTW, it was HOT.  i'm writing this at 2235pm and its 106 now...so imagine.

so ehre are some (a lot) of pix:
