Ghille suits
« on: July 17, 2003, 12:33:00 AM »
I have made several ghilles for myself and friends in the past.  I was thinking about possibly offering to make them for people who would be intersted.  They would be based on either a jump suit or BDU's, depending on preference.  You can even make them out of a pacho with a hood (similar to Mark Anderson's)  Either desert or forest.  I reinforce the knees, elbows and chest with duck tarp.  Everything else is according to what I have read in Army manuals and online.  Not really sure.  They take a lot of time and the supplies can run up to 100.00.  I was thinking about asking around 200 bucks for one(too expensive?), depending on the cost of the supplies.  You can buy the kits online for pretty cheap, but they are very labor intensive.  I am not really sure, just wondering what people would think.  [;)]

Hopefully you can open these links to see a picture of my last one.

Thanks guys,
