Its long, but I'd say its an assault rifle.  it has a very high rate of fire for a JG and it comes with two batteries.  It shoots between 350 and 375, and it doesn't seem that long anyway...  But I wouldn't use it in CQB.

I had the plesure of using an echo 1 mp5 and it was really nice. the accuracy was amazing for such a short barrel and the range was pretty good too. a little shorter range than my 614 but a really nice package and dosn't shoot too hot for local fields

I would personaly not choose echo 1 for an airsoft company. I bought an echo m14 socom about one month ago and it broke in 5 days. So then i tried to return it to the company to get a new one but they would not respond to any of my emails or calls. Also I have had a couple friends who bought echos like a couple m4s and a m14 socom (not mine) and theres broke to. They have tried to get them fixed but they would just break again. If you were lookin for a cheap m15a4carbine/full (not sayin you are)  I would choose the CA sportline which APD has plenty of right now. But then again lots of others who bought echos seem to be pleased with them so choose what you want.

IM actually looking for a G36C, but M4s are fine, although i would prefer a G36C under $150

you will have to find one used under that price, all echo 1's new would be over $150. unless of course someone strikes you a deal.
