on the right hand side (of an m4/m16) has fallen out.

how does someone remedy this?

Since it is not used in the weapons fire selection, I would say to just super glue it in place. Perhaps take the gearbox out so you can glue it and then put a clamp on it to keep it in place..

ah, here's something i forgot to mention. The button in question is missing. My question, is more actually, what can i use to fill the hole? is the button available anywhere, or should i get creative?

Dude, do you even know what part we're talking about?

Greyson, you can purchase a selector switch and it will probably come with that part. Kind of a waste of money but you'll have a spare selector and your gun will look right.

it really doesn't matter the brand they are all the same size. only real difference is most are plastic and some are metal. only one I can recall being metal was the one that came with my hurricane 416 kit.

install is easy, just remember the arrow on the face points up as to point to semi-auto and on the inside there is an protruding smaller circle that has a notch that will point down. put a very small amount of super glue along the smaller circle on the inside, only enough to hold it in, you don't want extra glue seeping out and getting on the side of the body. line up the notch on the bottom and press it in. and you're done.

Exactly, the button from my weapon was metal, and had no pointer. I would prefer another genuine part, (for all the obvious reasons) rather than slapping on some old TM button.

I will probably order another selector and keep the rest of the parts as extras.  I'm good on the installation, I just wondered about the availability of the part.
