this is still following along the fps train but in hawii epowersports hosts NO FPS LIMIT games how insane!? The dudes have freaking full auto guns shooting 658 fps up the wazoo. I should be so lucky to move to hawii.

Eh sounds more like a pissing contest to me, if you need your guns to shoot at 600fps or more and they're not sniper rifles, then you seriously need to learn some new tactics.

haha dude its the thought that counts thats has to be really intimidating getting shot at by a 600+ fps gun. Its not that theses guys need it the are just so freaking  insane that they want it. I mean did u check out their guns? beautiful work!

I already did, I lived there for most of my life and I still go back once in a while and play.

If all you have going for you is 600fps guns and no situational awareness then you may as well pull the red rag out, because someone has already got a bead on you.

geeze do all you guys think that just cus someones shooting 600 fps means they have no tactics? Do the guys in hawaii play well?

No, because not everyone here has had to deal with airballers with 600fps full auto AEGs before. Last time I checked they were trying to establish some respectable mil-sim games, however the majority of the players there are still stuck in the stone age, they still prefer speedball over scenario based gameplay. The other thing you don't seem to realize about 600fps full auto AEGs is that they tend to break more often than regular AEGs. All of that fps comes at a price, you'd probably have to carry a spare gearbox to every game you go to because there's a good chance it could blow if you decide to spray and pray.

The way I see it, the unlimited FPS gameplay in Hawaii can be achieved in a much more hassle-free manner by playing paintball. I am sure the amount of energy transferred is roughly the same or less. Or better yet, go and play with crossman c02 pellet rifles. That is what kids back in the 1950's did becasue there was nothing else. FPS limits are in place because they make the game better. I would rather have a little less range and be able to wear less safety equipment than have to run around like a paintballer, and that is only possible due to fps limits. I am personally happy that I dont come home with horrible bloody welts like I had when I played paintball.

Well duh, if its Ernie using the AEG that he built, he's probably going to know when to quit. I doubt you are anywhere close to being as decent an airsmith as he is.

Seriously quit acting like everyone else but you was born yesterday, its obvious that you've never gone up against a full auto AEG shooting at 600fps.

Stop being inflammatory, all your going to do is irritate people.  Its common knowledge that once you crack open a gera box and start swapping parts out you chance the statistic you gearbox will fry.  Good parts and a good airsoftsmith can help mitigate that but there is no doubt in anyones mind but yours that a 600+ fps gun will wear out before a stock TM.  Besides, the sport has enough questionable light, we don't need people cracking safety glasses with hot guns or digging bb's out of skin.  Who are you anyway?  I see your tag says Tucson but I dont recognize your username.

That's a great point.  We don't need airsoft guns going that fast so that a soccer mom will get the sport banned because her son got a bb lodged in his neck.  I see no real reason to go above 400 fps with an automatic unless you have serious issues with aiming an extra two feet in front of a moving target. I could, however, see the reason that a bolt action sniper rifle would need to go up to 500 fps because they need to shoot from longer distances and need to make one shot count, and obviously they have a limited engagement range of about 50 feet so snipers will usually hesitate before shooting somebody at 10-20 feet (let alone aim for the head).
