Ello!
« on: May 29, 2008, 04:07:09 AM »
Heya, my name's Chris- I'm 21 and looking to get into airsoft..for years I was kind of an avid paintball fan and always wanted to try airsoft, but never knew anyone who played; my new roomate does, and so do a bunch of his friends. I'm looking to get my first airsoft gun in the next couple days (Kinda torn between the CA SCAR Heavy/Lite and the SAR Sportmatch M41 SG).

Our main concern, living in the middle of Phoenix, is when and where to find some games going on...I've been lurking a little bit before registering and posting and saw mentioned that a lot of games have moved up North a bit as a result of scalding heat. Are there any fields/locations that run night games regularly? I'm sure the search function could do me wonders, but this also gave me a chance to introduce myself.

Welcome to the boards!  Thanks for taking the time for an intro.

There are night games from time to time, but not very often.  As for finding games around the valley, there's always something going on.  The majority of games posted on this site are played outside city limits, but occasionally you will find something happening near you.

Also, keep in mind that the meat and potatoes of our organization is hanging out and playing airsoft, not posting on a forum.

Look out for game postings, read the threads, and think before you post and you'll be good to go.

Again, welcome.  8)

Yeah, thankfully I'm plenty adept with forums so stupidity (thankfully) doesn't present itself when I post. :P

I've been kinda looking at the games forum, and seeing that most games are outside city limits isn't a terrible thing, we're living at Yorkshire and the I-17, so we're not too far from the edge of town ourselves. As it stands right now our only real chance to play is at Luke AFB as my roommate is Air Force, but we would like to find something else that's going on regularly in case we lose our place on base to play.

Thanks again for taking time to reply to me!
