Wolverines!!!!!!!! Its offical, a new day has RED DAWNed!

Saw this today and thought this might be a worthy place to post the news. If it shows enough terrorists getting the business instead of Russkies I'm down. Not sure how Al-Queda could really attempt to invade the US though. Maybe if they cross the enough hitchhike across the border. :)

Re: Red Dawn Remake?

Red Dawn was one of those films that showed what real Americans can do against an evil enemy. I saw it when I was a kid and I still remember a lot of it - the Soviets landing and shooting up the school for example. And, of course I always thought I'd be one of the guys hiding in the hills and guerrilla-ing the Soviets' butts.

Ya gotta wonder, though, what a remake would do - especially since Hollywood can't seem to make a movie where Muslim peoples are the enemies. (Well, Iron Man seems to be an exception.) And the stupid ideas around the US that we're the enemy and have hurt the other guys.... Let's just say I'm not expecting this movie to have that same American feel-good that Red Dawn had.

When in trouble, or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout.

Mikey, please make a 'Bad News' subforum and move this thread to it.

I dunno if anybody actually saw Red Eye, but, it was a piece of shit.

I think this remake will diminish the original picture's image and leave us all unhappy. Besides, they wouldn't make it with terrorists taking over the country -- it wouldn't be much a Red scenario then.
