So I'm planning on buying my first AEG and was just wanting some opinions on the guns I have picked out.

http://www.precisionairsoft.com/item908.htm

The G36C is my Favorite gun of all time, I know that sounds cheesy, but it's true, and I know from friends and these forums that TM is the top dog brand to go with if you have the money.

I wanted to get an M4 look a like but not exactly the same thing, which is why I picked this gun out, like the G36C, I just love the look of it, and how bare it looks so that I may put some accessories on it. Love the price so I may just spend any left over cash on decking it out on accessories.

Also, if anyone can point me out in some other links with guns that you may think interest me, post 'em, as I am a n00b, I'm pretty much up for anything.

if you are trying to decide between the two, choose the g36c, if you are getting both, i recommend not getting the jg.  But try looking on airsoftshop.com they have very cheap tms but i do not have experience with them.  Im sure the guys he could help me out. [-o<   but as you probably know classic army makes a g36c, but its a preference, a tm will last forever, a ca is better for upgrading.  Hope my opinion helps. :P

guess what...... there's this thing called Krylon spray paint(small children in background listen intently haha), if you use that, you can customize it, giving you many choices.  But i'de still wait on buying from there until someone who has experience with them to give the ok.

Go with the TM or Echo 1, the CA version is total garbage out of the box. The TM version has good and bad things said about it, but, I have only ever heard good. :D  The Echo 1 version has never given me any trouble after about a year of service, but upgrading an Echo 1 is hit or miss, not that you have to upgrade an Echo. I have owned both the CA and the Echo 1 but, never the TM. Hope this helps. Good night.

TM or CA is the absolute best, but that doesn't have to be your 1st gun.  I mean, you wouldn't make a Ferrari your first car would you?  Ok, yeah so would I.  The G36 is a very attractive model, but I have some complaints.  A CA G36c was my 1st AEG, and as I got more into the sport I realized some problems.  It can't hold a large battery without modifications, but this is only a minor problem.  The G36 magazines are much thicker than m16 style magazines, and will not easily fit into pre-made gear, which is what you'll most likely be wearing.  It's ok, I still wear pre-made gear, it works fine.  The magazines are also a bit harder to find, most local shops only sell m16, mp5 and AK style mags.  I run an M15A4 now, and am much happier.

I would reccommend the CA G36c. My second gun is a CA G36 and i love it. I've solved the problem with a G36 to M4 magwell conversion. I got it up at APD and love it, it's made finding mags and carrying mags a lot easier. I'd also say stay away from JG. Just my oppinion.

I love my Echo1/JG G36C (they're the same gun, one is slightly cheaper though). It is an amazing gun, with quality that matches or exceeds most of the more expensive guns. I've heard so many mixed reports from the CA one though, so I'd stay away from it, although the guy I skirmished with a few times seemed to love his.
