Stupid FPS question

I know NOOB question but.....If a gun shoots 400 FPS with .2's what SHOULD it shoot with .25's? I ask because everything I see says the limit for games is 400 with .2 but MTT has to be different and say 375 with .25..... I want to take my son and do the game on 12-27 but I don't want to drive out there and find out one of our guns is too hot.

You should be fine if you are meeting the limit with .20

If you are shooting 400fps with .2's, you will most likely be in the area of 375 with .25's but you would do best to chrono it before going out there.  I know Gearbox can do it for you, I don't know about APD.

Just a small work up from the calculation program on Arnie's Airsoft

Uilizing the Joules and BB wight it seems that these are the FPS  that equal each other for the different wieght BB.

.33 @ 326.01 FPS = 1.63 Joules
.28 @ 353.92 FPS = 1.63 Joules
.25 @ 374.55 FPS = 1.63 Joules
.20 @ 418.76 FPS = 1.63 Joules

I believe that (from calculations using the same Joules) the .20 @ 400 is under the FPS of the .25 @ 375 FPS.

This site will can give you an estimate.  Plug and Chug but remeber it is an estimate and is not a substitute for a chrono.

Does APD chrono weapons? I upgraded some of the internals when I converted my M4 to an M16 and I honestly don't know what it shoots at now.

Sorry I haven't posted but I have been out of town. But thank you all for your input. I will take both guns and have them chronoed to see where I stand.

Unless they've changed policy within the last couple months, they'll chrono your gun if you ask.
