i also went with the utg mk96. even if it does suck it was not expensive and it would be a lesson learned on springers.  but i also got the cm030 g18 as a secondary if they get to close and have a crappy mp5 clone aeg but that is a last resort if everything else breaks.

You should have looked into it before you bought that Glock...
It's so weak, people don't think they're hit when they get hit.
It sparks a lot of arguments on the field.
Here's how I see a prepared sniper should be.
A Sniper rifle that isn't UTG or Well. Spring powered.
A medium level, short length AEG (Like a JG Spetznas) (Some fields won't allow this though.)
And a GBB pistol.

should he have shelled out 300+ for a "Entry level" weapon system. Im sorry but for that cash i personally would rather get a real gun or upgrade one i have already. Its comments like this that make people hostil, seems like a personal attack on the person.  if it turns out someone really likes airsofting then they will shell out the money for a high end or custom sytem. If he didnt ask if they were good then why slam him, just to judge his charecter or see what he'll do?

I love sniper rifles. I have a $150 Super X-9. I have a fairly steady shot, but I need some heavier bb's than .12g's. The fps on my gun is 500 with .12 bb's and 450 with .2's. Can't wait for money for heavier bb's.

Jing Gong, BAR-10 Scope package (dont get the g-spec) its about $122 shipped from AirsoftGI.com and then do the free 500 fps mod, then make a custom suppressor for it. The BAR-10 is pretty much the best budget sniper right now.

i used to have the utg master sniper (the name says it all). it was pretty good in the begining, i even threw it on the ground, and it still worked fine. the main problem is that it doesnt work anymore. after a while the pin that holds back the spring wears down, and when you cock it back the spring just goes forward, because the pin cant hold it back. if you are going to spend close to $100 on a springer thats going to break in two years,  get a echo1 m4 instead. if price is not an issue, buy a better sniper gun, but if you are new to airsoft or dont want to spend a lot of money; get an aeg. in an airsoft war it is way more realistic, not to mention fun, to use an electric gun that shoots semi and fully auto. plus it is easier to upgrade an aeg. 8)

I dont need to confirm my kills, all that matters is that they\'re dead         Team: KILO 11          LIBRALS will take  your  guns slowly, by adding taxes and restrictions, until it will be so hard to get a gun that only \'\'outlaws\'\' will have them.
