M120 spring upgrade
« on: November 12, 2008, 09:26:02 PM »
Does anyone know what the fps would be average for the average m4 gun with commando length barrel. The gearbox owner said it would be a little more than 400fps is he correct? (i am not doubting him just want to know what you guys think.)

450 sounds a little high for M120.

What weight BBs will you be using? Also are you using a ported cyclinder?

In the past I've had a CA CQB-R with a CA 120 spring and tightbore barrel spit out .20g BBs at 420fps.

Systema m120 in my A&K/ECHO1 M249 is about 370 with a .2. The rest of the 249 is stock. Prometheus m120 in a CA mp5 about 330 with a .25 (about 370 with .2). The mp5 has an aluminum piston head. If you have average compression, you will be under 400 fps. A tightbore will increase FPS.
