I definitely agree that is largely due to the BB output. Simply put, if you can put out enough BB's at a high enough velocity, no one can get close, period. Back when I was going through a good bag of BB's or more per game (ie refilling my c-mag from empty during breaks), I fired at evrything until it stopped moving. Consequently, I got a TON of kills and had a record of about 2 or 3 consecutive game days where I never took a BB... that was because I laid out a killing field in every direction. I was shooting at 400 fps, so only those close to 400 could even contend (I made sure to keep the high ground and had some good teammates spotting and watching my flanks and rear), but the few that did have 400 fps were limited by mag changes. There is certainly a huge advantage to sitting behind a BB stream. and for the people I couldn't kill outright, I kept their heads down until someone else could take em out. Was it fun? only the first time. It really wasn't a trial of skill, but rather how long until my c-mag ran out. So, if your only objective is kills, get a big fat c-mag, a ton of bb's, and teammates that are willing to watch your back for you. Since then, I have switched to standards and occasionally hi-caps (when mike won't lend me his standards ;-) and it is a lot more fun. It goes from being about how long you can hold the trigger to how well you can work in a group. Sure, I die more often and I get fewer kills, but it gives me an incentive to play harder. When I'd just lay on the c-mag, I could gloat about 30+ kills in day (depending on size and missions), but I don't think my team mates appreciated it and it really didn't involve any tactics or thinking on my part. I agree that if all it was was sneaking around, I probably wouldn't play either- we wouldn't need guns. You have the most fun because of the people you are with and when all the other elements mesh together in a fun balance.
