Good to hear it is finally in Nick. I think this situation was alot worse for you than it was for us. You have to find a new supplier, and you were the ones who could have lost a large sum of money paying us back if the order was siezed. I hope you guys can find a new supplier quickly, get your business running again [:D]

customs probably plays with them first, then when they're bored they send it on its way.

I doubt they would do that, but it's a funny idea that I've thought about too [:D]

By the way, are the trademarks intact on this shipment?

Orders with Bart and Nick: PLEASE READ!
« Reply #3 on: October 13, 2003, 02:24:39 PM »
To those who have ordered on the most recent order with us:

The order is IN!  I'm sure most of you know the problems we had, but for those that didn't, let me recap:

Order was placed a long time ago.  Order was picked up for shipment a week and half later. Order shipped and arrived in LA a good two weeks ago.  Customs decided that they didn't have anything better to do, and held it for over a week.  Then we find out about the delay after much searching due to a faulty tracking number. Customs continues to hold our shipment with no information available regarding why. Finally, after granting the shipper power of attorney in the matter and looking into getting an attorney, customs finally decides to do something... they don't pass it yet, but decide instead that they should do an intensive inspection which takes another few days.  I am told that after this inspection, they will either release, seize, or detain the shipment.  Seizure we all know is bad. Detaining would have meant that we not have recieved the order until december. Also bad.  But, finally, through nothing but the grace of God, our shipment is released and allowed to immigrate to the US.

In essence, what happened was seriously out of our control.  Like you, we had to play the waiting game, even though I had tickets ready to fly down to LA to try to apply some pressure, in spite of being told there was nothing I could do.

We've been receiving a few disparaging remarks in regards to this fiasco, and I wanted to get a few things clear.  First, we are on your side, fighting for you, not keeping your goodies from you.  This was out of our control, but we will very likely switch suppliers to avoid this in the future. In the event that it had been seized or detained, everyone who had paid would have recieved a full refund promptly.

Because of the way this order turned out, we will be going on hiatus for an indefinite period of time.  We may consider doing an order around christmas time, but other than that, we most likely will not do any orders until next summer.

So, for those that did have something on this order, the order is IN.  The contents have yet to be verified, but everyone's stuff should be there.  Give us a day to get it all together and then contact Bart to get your stuff.  More likely though, he can set up some general time and central place to meet all of you at once.

In the end, thanks to all that ordered with us, and my sincere apologies for the wait on this order.  Special thanks for your patience in dealing with this matter.  For those that were inconvenienced by the delay of this order, we plan to offer some sort of special conciliatory item or offer when we start up taking orders again.
