Operation: Cartwright's Revenge Fresno, CA 9/25-9/27
« on: September 09, 2009, 05:20:28 PM »
The much-anticipated sequel to Operation: Diablo's River.

General Drew Cartwright is not one to walk away from a defeat without a plan, and the desire for a bloodletting.

The Diablo River Battle was Epic. No doubt about it. General Cartwright's attack on the Drug Czar Aguirre's
stronghold however left no real result for the US. Cartwright does however have a better understanding about the lay of the land, and will utilize this to his advantage.

Aguirre's Right hand Man, General Juan Paulo Garcia Made his stand, and held his ground. Captain De Jesus, or
"El Martillo" ran with much resistance amongst the hills and valleys of Guadalajara, yet maintained control over
the region, with an Iron Fist.

General Cartwright has now formulated a daunting plan. While Aguirre is trying to repair some of the Damage The US inflicted, and now feeling the financial hit to his Pocketbook, The Americans will go back in.

Cartwright will be taking a new, and controversial approach. Besides his Small Army of Joint Military and Federal Narcotic teams, he has dipped into his personal bank account to hire on a team of Military Contractors or
"Guns for hire" that go by the name "Gold Cell". Cartwright plans to move into Aguirre's stronghold, gain valuable mission critical objectives, and personally wipe Aguirre, Garcia, and De Jesus clean off the map.

UPDATE:
___________________________________________________________________________________________
FOOD

We be feeding you guys lunch, as part of your entry on Saturday. There will also be food Vended for
Dinner Saturday, as well as lunch Sunday. We will keep it affordable. Menu is being discussed as I type.

We are also looking to have a light breakfast pack available (Yogurt, Fruit and Cereal or power bar) for a few bucks on Saturday and Sunday Morning.

We suggest bringing a few extra bucks to this event, in case you don't feel like being "uber-leet" and eating a crappy MRE after a long day of battle.

Scenarios

We have some detailed, yet easy to follow scenarios in store. Like OP:DR, These scenarios are designed to keep the firefights rolling, and not sticking anyone in any area "Defending" for too long. We want you to get your dollars worth as far as trigger time goes.

REGISTRATION

We have bypassed the attendance at Operation Diablo's River, which at the time was/is the biggest game in the History of Airsoft in the Central Valley. We will be closing registration soon, for the sake of game control and to assure each squad on both US and Mexican sides will have a great game experience. We are not looking for a huge game, were looking for a good game.

Some prospective attendee's have had concerns using PayPal. To quell this issue, I will say that so far we have had ZERO problems with anyone registering via PayPal for this Event. If you do not have the means of opening a PayPal account, I suggest you call LongShot (559-676-5000) ASAP, and make a payment arrangement . We are not 100% sure we will be allowing walk-on players who have not made some sort of pre-arrangement at this time.
Like I said, our concern is offering a great game, not just stuffing the field with as many players as possible.

Another update for you:

On Sunday during the Lunch break, we will be having the "5.11 Tactical 2-gun Challenge" in which players compete against each other in a static target shoot-out for the fastest time. Contestants will need to be able to shoot several targets at varying distances with their rifle, then transition to a sidearm and repeat, all, of course, in quick succession. The fastest shooter will be awarded a $200 retail voucher good for any gear in the 5.11 product line.

IIRC, the time to beat in May was just under 10 seconds. So bring your A-game.
