M15a4 Switching Battery from Front to Stock
« on: October 16, 2009, 12:58:27 AM »
Hey,
I recently bought a CA M15a4 and did not like the small battery nor the placement, so I went out and bought a battery pouch that stays snug on the retractable stock.  My problem is, the wires in the M15a4 are nothing like those in the G3, where a simple removal of the stock and pulling the wire through get the job done.  I heard that kits are around $40-50 and I was told that I would need to open the gearbox to switch the wire. Is this true or is it a much easier fix?

don't need a kit, if you are capable open up your gun and gearbox, most likely you'll need 16 awg wire, you'll spend 12 buck at auto zone, and all you need is a soldering iron and solder, make sure you lay out your wiring and measure it for the correct length. or take it to gearbox and have them do it if you can't
