Legal Issues with Gas Powered Guns
« on: December 27, 2009, 10:38:49 AM »
Does anybody know if it is legal to use a CO2 powered gun in an airsoft battle?  Because I saw a really nice blowback gas gun for 30 bucks, but I didn't know if it is allowed in a battle.

XavierMace is correct but generally up to 400fps with a 0.2gram weighted bb according to the general rules. I'd say the average pistol shoots around 300fps and those set-ups are more desirable for shooting people at closer ranges.  If the nature of the game design utilizes close engagement distances the organizer may choose to place slower fps restrictions to minimize injuries to players. Most people like to utilize 300fps up to 350 fps for those type of engagements but it depends on the situation and the organizer/players.
