To much hopup
« on: February 09, 2010, 01:52:57 PM »
Installed a new gearbox today from matrix with a m120 spring kit in itand other upgrades.
have a 6.01 tbb from systema.
Using a madbull bucking( BLACK ) and H nub from same kit...
WITH MY HOPUP TURNED ALL THE WAY DOWN....still getting rise out of the pellet with a 20gram bb. havent tried it yet with heavier bb but I think I should still have some adjustment..If I turn the hopup UP it just gets worse so I think it is istalled right. Or should I try a differ bucking.. Have a systema clear silicone 1 and a guarder 1.
what do you think could be the problem. If not the bucking itself????

Did you put the nub in correctly? It should be on it's 'side', not on it's 'end'.

Its an Echo 1 m4
Yes I removed the original nub.
Yes I put it in right.
The last time I used it this weekend, It was working fine but the gun was only shooting bout 290-300 fps. Although I did move the hopup down a little that night. Still had a little adjustment left. Now with it shooting alot stronger, It seems to travle upwards awfully quick.
I will take it aprt tonight and see whats up, if somethhing moved but was looking for further insight if I did not see anything strange.
Will update tommorow if it gets fixed, TY guys for helping...

An experiment that you could do is take out the nub completely and If it is Still shooting Drastically upwards, I'd take it to a church to remove demons from it.
Or else it might be the nozzle/hop up allinment might be a little off.

Try the gaurder, they are better than the systema buckings. Madbull is really hit and miss, some of their products are great and very well engineered (or reverse engineered  ) and built, others..well not so much.
