MTT Staff is making a few changes to the equipment requirements for Left for Dead.

Here are some updates for players to consider.

Ammo will be provided to the Civilian Survivors.  PMC and SPEC Op will have unlimited ammo and will need to purchase BB's from Vanguard.

All players will be authorized to use hand weapons.  However, only civilians will be able to use longer weapons such as swords, axes, chainsaws, etc.  PMC and SPEC Ops can use weapons like knives, hatchets, and machetes.

Players are not required to bring a glow stick.  The wounding rules have been changed since the original game emails went out.

Please feel free to post any questions to the forum or email MTTStaff@gmail.com

SWEET! Thank you for the heads up!

AZ, you owe me a steak dinner for the one I just puked up.  :

Heh, seriously man, nice trailer for Stalker.  ;)  And to anyone else who watched it, THAT is why you need to come to the FINAL Zombie Survival Training this Friday, Oct. 29th.  Last chance to keep your arms and legs from being passed around like chicken-cabobs.

Silhouette, please do bring the chainsaw.  It looks epic.

I've found a few nerf weapons at my local Hobby Lobby.  I'm getting a few tomorrow and bringing them to the Training event on Oct. 29th.  Please come on by for it and it's yours for the event.  Don't worry about the Shells or Frags, I won't need them (Zed-Head here ;) ), but please do bring them in case some of the PMCs or Spec Ops need grenades to take out the "Tank."

Hope to have a BIG turnout at the training op.  Last one was a blast, more ppl will make this one even better.

Im volenteering to be a zombie, do I have to come? And if not, I can help with the training (Be a zombie/moving target and help roleplay as a zombie for the training if need be)

You do not have to come, but its worth getting some experience.

Yes, we had two volunteers there on the 22nd who helped with training. It was a blast, thanks again Drew and Bones. :)

Actually Hollow (got it right, yah!), we'd love to have more Zombie volunteers come out.

Part of the other team's trainging involves survival drills (transition to melee), buddy-team security, etc.  Those kinds of drills are SO much easier if Zombie volunteers help to stress-test them (come at the survivors, who then practice the drills on us).

Plus we do some mock missions inside the actual field (Survivors circling the perimeter like a race track, and Zombie mission is to ambush them at random points along the circuit).

Those mock missions are also good opportunities for Zombie team to practice our Ambush skills.  Just 2 of us managed to tag I think 1 or 2 Spec Ops out of a total of 4.  Imagine what a full team of 12 Zed Heads can accomplish.  It's good practice for the Z-Team.

So if you're a Zombie, please show up for this last training op on Friday night, 8 - 12.  It'll help the other teams, and really help our own team coordinate on game day.

Plus this is your last chance to see the Tank Zombie before everyone else on game day.  It's going to be an eye-openner.

See you then.  ;)

Down with the Living!

~ Drew

PS:  Human teams, bring melee weapons and (soft) dummy grenades.  Those will be useful.  I'll bring a handful of cheap melee weapons as loaners on Friday and Saturday, for those that want to use them.

Tonight's Zombie Survival 101 looks to be filling up with players from all three teams and several zombie volunteers.

Please try to arrive no later than 7:30 to register.

Teams will get the opportunity to learn about and practice the following:

Left for Dead Team Stories
Receive Team Objectives, Intel, Maps
Learn about Game Props
Learn about Zombie Types
Practice Melee Attacks
Practice Team Movement
Scenario Training

There are still plenty of spaces available for the training.  No preregistration is necessary.

There are still at least 5 spaces left for the Civilian Survivor team for tomorrow's game.  Players can register at Gearbox Airsoft until 7 pm tonight.

Game rules and schedule will be emailed to all players on Saturday morning.
