Attention Please…
« on: February 26, 2011, 03:01:31 AM »
Hey guys, I wanted to make a sort of formal apology. I know now that when I first came to this site I was probably one of the biggest if not the biggest newbs on here. I made rants about some “products” that I made in my garage. Haha! Although I do take credit for making the first extended mag for the Hi cappa! I really didn’t realize at the time that I was making a bad reputation for not only me but my teammates as well. I regret it, mainly because I’ve had more than one team that I wanted to have a skirmish with reject us because of the bad reputation that I had caused. And also some of you were just trying to get me to see what I was doing.

I have taken a pretty long break from playing Airsoft and posting on here, just recently I decided to come on here and see what has been going on lately. I signed on to my profile and the first thing I decided to click was my posts. I started to read through all of my old posts and realized how much of a chairsofter I was being!  I want to start new and make some great friends instead of trying to be “cool”.

Anyways to the Airsofting community I’m sorry, and I apologize. [smilie=armata_pdt_06.gif]

Sincerely,

Keny

Welcome back. I'm glad to see you're coming around to the light (I think... maybe it is the dark side... either way, it's the one that's more fun) side of airsoft. :D

Welcome back and thanks for having the balls and maturity level to take responsibility for your actions and actually trying to rectify them... a great example for every airsofter....

Our first game since we finally were able to get someone from Airsoft Arizona to come and play us!

A review of our field and team from Wolfsbane:

“Thank you very much, I had a good time and now I'm enjoying a few aches and pains but that's because I'm out of shape so it's my own damn fault and I have crappy shoes that I need to replace (but my friend Paul at Northern Arizona Paintball isn't carrying my size yet in the combat boots he sells)

The terrain was good, different from other places I've played around here - the Dells are so cool.

The different games we had kinda showed of the variety one can make out of Airsoft so that was good too.

I wasn't happy with the very under-protected eyes of some of the Cottonwood guys, they were great to play with though - I expect you made the same offer of support for loaner goggles that you extended to me so that's really their own fault but ... it could have been a nasty situation - in the future I'd recommend checking that as the hosts, just for your own protection.

I'd love to see chrono's having a higher profile but that's just my paintball experience I guess.”

My response:

For those who are confused about the glasses thing, we had two or three people that were paired with Wolfsbane to make his team. They weren’t wearing eye protection. We did make an effort to have them protect their eyes, actually we gave the kids that didn't have glasses a pair before the game I didn't notice that they weren’t wearing them until after the game. I will defiantly make sure next time to enforce that rule and make it so that if they don’t want to wear them they don't play! Period! But yes they did make that choice on their own. Because we actually did give them glasses. If I had known that they weren’t wearing glasses I would have stopped the game and asked them to put them on. I promise to be more vigilant!

I think investing in a chrono would be great for the CQB that we were having because there were a few instances of shooting high fps guns under the minimum engagement distance. But as for out on the big field, I feel that having no fps limit was fine as we didn't have any issues and haven't had any issues with that because of the long distance put between us.
And from me, thank you for taking the time to come and see that we aren’t a bunch of irresponsible kids that are giving Airsoft a bad name.

Thanks,

Keny

Your kidding me right? No chrono means no fps limits, as there is no way to enforce it other than throwing out players that you feel hit too hard, and by then, its already too late.

I cannot even express what I wanted to say when I read the statement about the eye protection.
That is the most irresponsible thing I have ever heard of in my 7 years of airsoft.
I have never, never heard of such a thing. EVER.

And then to take that, and say some BS at the end about not being a MAJOR threat to the future of our sport, and try and promote yourselves as "safe" and "responsible"???

Are you kidding me? Seriously?
I played airsoft when I was young, I lived through that, you always know when someone has goggles on or not. theres less then 20 of you.

I pretty much just lost any shred of minimal respect I still had for any of you.
You know who is more irresponsible? The fact that the guys were thick enough not wear eyepro, and the fact that you and whatever morons who played with you were dumb enough to allow it, is the FACT THAT YOU THEN SHOT AT THEM. SOMEONE WITH NO EYE PROTECTION.

Seriously? Go ahead and play like that, when someone takes one in the eye, you will see how far and fast this shitball will roll,
because I GUARANTEE that if these guys were unwilling to put eyepro on when you were trying to put on a GOOD REP, for an AZ team, theres no way in F**K they or probably most of you wear them during normal play.
You are going to destroy this sport.

I cannot express my anger and disappointment, I am shocked. And stunned. I hope field owners read this and ban your ass from all Az fields as fast as they can.

Fixed that for you:

**EDIT: Can we sticky this thread? It needs to stay up. Some type of mod response would be nice too. These types of actions are despicable, and should not be allowed.

Even as a young kid (12 years old) me and my friends ALWAYS played it safe as far as protection. Nobody played without SOME sort of eyepro, even when it was all crappy springers for everyone. Someone unintelligent enough to make the consious decision NOT to wear eyepro during a game, does not need to be weilding any sort of projectile weapon. Especially with no FPS limit, people could show up with .177cal BB guns for all you know, and put a hole through someone's arm at 800 FPS. For shame dude, for shame....

Discussion of unsafe airsoft isn't tolerated on this board.

Bully Dog Airsoft, you're welcome to contribute - but posts about airsoft with no eye pro aren't acceptable.
