Any 100% pure silicon oil will work.  I got my 3 ounce bottle of 50 weight (pretty thick) at Hobby Bench inside PV Mall.  Any decent hobby store will carry it.  You might want to get a bottle of lighter weight, and one with more viscosity, like 50 weight.

I like the heavier wieghts because they stick around for awhile, and they work great on my GBB and AEG.  If you get a lighter weight as well, you can mix the 2 to the perfect combination for whatever you are putting it on.

Each bottle cost me about 3 bux.

Speaking of oil... my G36C manual says WHAT I have to do to maintain the gun, but it does not say how often one has to do the maintenance (at least not in English).  How often should one oil everything up?

Thanks,
Chris

Silicon Oil
« Reply #2 on: February 10, 2004, 02:05:42 PM »
Does anyone know, if there is a cheaper place to buy silicon oil. I was just going to pick some up at napa auto parts. I just dont want to spend 6 bucks on two ounces. And is there a way to determine if its ok to use for airsoft guns? Thanks
