I'd stay far away from any of those guns unless you're just buying to collect rather than skirmish with them.  Stick with Marui, Classic Army, TOP, and the other big name brands for quality and reliability.

Durability wise, the MP5K is probably better than the other MP5's, the other MP5s use the version 2 gearbox which is an older design, the MP5K uses the version 3 gearbox. Keep in mind that Version 3 gearboxes can handle a m120 spring with just metal bushings. Version 2 will need an FTK or most parts from an FTK to handle m120 springs. The design of the version 3 is much better than version 2. However the size of the mp5k and short barrel may turn some people down, but it is great for cqb. I dont own one, but I know the differences in gearboxes and thats just my opinion.

Choseone is refering to a Tokyo Marui MP5.  The ones that Sifu456 is talknig about are pieces of junk korean guns.  I have seen those guns go for $75, and even at that price, its a rip off. Rick

What are you talking about?  I have personally seen a Version 2 box handle an M120 and metal bushings only with no problems at all.

And like Rick said, wrong gun dude!

wtf?

Yea they can but like after like 1000 everything gets all worn down sometimes breaks and sometimes the version 2 gearbox even cracks. Version 3 is soo much better, it will handle like m120 and never need to change a single part after like 5000 shots, and version 3 boxes never crack not even with m130.

Naturally you have first hand experience with this I take it?  Personally I've run a version 2 STOCK Marui gear box with an M120 and metal bushings for well over 50K rounds and it did not break or crack on me, the gun is still running strong after 3 years of service.  A version 3 box may be inherintly stronger, but the style of AEG you buy dictates what gear box it comes with.  If you want an M4, then you're going to end up with a version 2 and that's all there is to it.   Oh and by the way, the internals of a version 2 and version 3 gear box are pretty much identical, so your theory of a version 2 box wearing out faster is just a bunch of BS.Oh and aren't you the guy selling the M16A3 with an M130 spring in it? Why put an M130 in a version 2 box if you know it will crack?

Quailty of Comabt Expert MP5 Kurks A4s?
« Reply #7 on: February 17, 2004, 08:16:45 AM »
Quailty of Comabt Expert MP5 Kurks A4s? Does anybody know anything about these guns, there is a tricked out version for $189.00. With fore grip, laser sight, large battery and folding shoulder stock.

They are also selling 2 for stripped MP5s for $169.99. They seem to rate slower 300+-240 fps pending which battery, 9v - 4v. Some of the other MP5s by Mauri seem have faster FPS.

What do you think about ToyStar products? Their AEG, Springs?

I got 12 GGB or Spring guns I could have gotten a fair AEG and 2 GBB M9s for the price of these 12.
