KJW m9 problems..
« on: May 15, 2012, 01:42:54 PM »
i was shootting my m9 in the back yard last night and it started having problems. the piece the air flows through is coming foward againt the rear of the barrel and it doesnt release the gas all the way. it makes sort of a puffing noise. the pistol is a full metal KJW m9. any body know what this could be? the piece returns to its original position after i put it there but when i shoot it it jams foward and wont function.

Is kjw man, they have a reputation for failing, much sooner. They are like a knock off brand in my opinion.

I mean kjw, from my experience the WEs have lasted a while.

Gunny, try pushing the pin in the back(the one the hammer hits) by hand and see if thats the problem, if thats not it try a new mag, if thats not it replace flow valve.

I've had my KJW 1911 for almost 2 years now with zero issues, and I've put that thing through more use and abuse than I care to admit.

The M9s in particular, have the worst reputation as far as KJWs go.

Gunny, did you disassemble the gun before you shot it and encountered this issue? Could be the cylinder assembly just isn't seated right for some reason. Try disassembling it, maybe giving it a bit of a cleaning, and make sure everything's lined up correctly during reassembly. Even in real firearms things can get loose after continued use.
