There's no way a set of gloves is thick enough to stop any kind of bullet, so what you're looking at is the fire-resistance of nomex versus the slash-resistance of kevlar.

Hard Knuckles, Because getting shot there is god awful

Personally, I don't like hard knuckles. I would go with a nice pair of Mechanix or Nomex pilot gloves. Both are not all that expensive, very light, very comfortable, and very malleable.

I've been shot in the knuckle plenty of times, it stops hurting after the 20th time    As for me, I prefer kevlar.  It's very stab-resistant, which is good for jumping in thorn bushes (which I tend to do very often)

Gloves, in general, help mitigate the pain of hand hits. Get full finger gloves. Fingernails hurt more when they get hit.

If you're just using these gloves for airsoft then you can't go wrong with either one. Personally, I would buy some better gloves. You can't go wrong with Mechanix Wear gloves. I've been wearing my Mechanix Mpact gloves for over a year and a half and have used them from airsoft to real steel shooting to using them for what they were originally made for and I haven't had a single problem with them yet.

Learned that one the hard way on Friday. Stings pretty bad for a solid 4 hours or so, not to mention blood blisters under the nail. Full finger gloves are recommended. I'll be buying a new pair myself very shortly.

Plenty of times. I still prefer knuckle-less. Getting shot in the nuts hurts even more, but I don't see many people wearing cups...

Same here. My thumb hurt for the better part of the next day as well. Just go with full finger gloves and you'll be happy in the end.
